I love me a smoothie. It's good, filling and a quick meal.
Problem is the smoothie I make cause me so much pain. I hav the worst gas imaginable.
My friend stop drinking smoothie altogether because it did her the same way.
This are my ingredients
1 c frozen pineapple chuncks
1 c frozen mangos
1/2 c low-fat vanilla yogurt
1/2 c strawberry daiquri mix can't remember the brand.

Can someone relieve my body of this painful gas. Because I love my smoothies.

Do you have the same problem with other dairy products?

Have you tried different combos of fruit to see if maybe you're just sensitive to one of these?

That's what I was thinking, try it different ways.

Try lactose free yogurt.

I would make it without the daquiri mix to cut calories.

Also, you might want to get a good Digestive Enzyme Complex.

Enjoy!

I'm not sure it's the yogurt. I can eat yogurt by itself and I'm fine.
I don't know what to substitute for the daquiri mix. I've tried OJ but don't like how that taste.

There are really good tasting soy protein drinks available that don't need much flavoring - just a handful of whatever fruit you like. Sometimes people aren't used to having so much fiber. Try 1/2 a smoothie for a week and then gradually increase the amount.

My husband had the same problem a few months back when he ate smoothies. He found out he needed his gallbladder removed. He had it done and now he can eat just about anything. Apparently he had gallstones and the smoothie mix irritated it and the gas pains were so bad he was in the ER twice in 1 week. Didn't mean to scare you but he eats smoothie's everyday now.

Me personally I have a thing for Tropical Smoothie Cafe theirs taste so much better than what I make at home.

I've had my gallbladder removed about 8 years ago.
