We are in the process of starting a TOPS program here and I have been asked to take an officer position.

Are any of you ladies a member? What do you think of the program/group?Edited by: ~Crystal~

Let me know how you like TOPS and how easy it is to get one started. I saw a couple of meetings in my area but with the price of gas I don't want to drive 10 miles to get to one. We have one 4 miles away but the meeting time does not work for me!

I was a member of TOPs years ago... and it was a good program. The meeting I was with was mostly older women and they didn't lose alot of weight. but I did like it because it kept you countable for the weight ins. and we did share good tips to lose weight. The cost is low as well... but that was about 4 years ago.

I have been a member of TOPS for years, and in good groups and really bad groups. I recently left my current group because they only held one meeting a month where you could actually learn everything, every other meeting was about fund raising to send people to SRD and IRD. Blech!

I have served as Leader, co-Leader and Weight Recorder. TOPS is very good about sending programs out to the different chapters and you can follow those or make up your own programs. It is important to keep on task and keep it interesting- which should go without saying.

TOPSdoesn't have it's own "diet." They do offer a book The Choice is Yours. This is an exchange program but people in TOPS don't have to follow it.
TOPS is mainly for support and keeping accountable with the weekly weigh-ins.

Have fun!
