Sorry for the vent ladies lol. So I've finally found a way to utilize my treadmill (listen to audio books,CD, Bible etc while walking) and I cannot for the life of me figure out what's wrong with it! I've used it 20 times max. It's in great condition. Only thing is when I turn it on, without even getting on it the belt starts gliding to the left and eventually into the pulley which basically eats the belt. I've googled and for the life of me can't seem to find a treadmill repair person. I was hoping someone on here has had and fixed this issue because I really want to get exercising!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gifI've made my way back into ONEderland and don't want to see 2-0-anything again (Jen I think you were right about the wheat allegy thing cuz since Monday I've already dropped 4 lbs just by cutting out bread, pasta, and starches.) So anywho, can anybody help!?!?!?!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif

Aw, I used to have that trouble! You might want to call a gym and see which company they use to fix treadmills.

Actually the reason I'm wanting to repair my treadmill is because I haven't been able to walk outside due to the round ligament pain and my high level of clumsinesshttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gifI'm a little off center right now if ya can't tellhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifI think I found the answer on how to fix it though, and if it doesn't work a friend of mine said Sears does repairshttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gifNow to find a solution to my BIG wheat problem.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif

Sounds like it needs lubrication between the belt and the metal. The friction from the belt movement causes that to happen if it's not oiled. You can ususally find the lubrication where they sell treadmills or order it from your treadmill manufacturer. I think I have some extra packets if you want one. pm me your mailing address and I'll stick you one in the mail.....save you a little money.

Hey Deadra, will PM you!

For anyone else with Treadmill issues, here's what a friend found for me: http://www.treadmill-online.com/home/treadmill-maintenance/repair/your-true-guide-for-repairing-treadmill-at-home.htm (http://www.treadmill-online.com/home/treadmill-maintenance/repair/your-true-guide-for-repairing-treadmill-at-home.htm)

One of the common problems that most of the folks face with a treadmill after an extended use is belt's imbalance. Treadmill belts after certain period of use don't remain centered; they partially get tracked towards left or right while moving. This defect could be repaired at home with the help of a screw driver. If belt is tracking to right, you should tighten the screw of belt on the right side and left side's screw could be loosened. In case of a left tracking of belt, you can alter the procedure to keep the belt centered.

I ordered it Monday and it shipped Wednesday Priority Mail so hopefully I get it today. Oh part of the reason I'm wanting to use the treadmill also is to shut DH uphttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifHe never lets me forget that I just HAD to have this treadmill and after 3 months it became a laundry wrack to hand clothes on while folding.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifI don't know what it is about walking outside around here lol but I always manage to almost fall somewhere!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifDH thinks I need a spotterhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifAt least on the treadmill I'm walking in place...not much chance of tripping over anything (except my own feet lol).

Tha's ok. My first prenancy I needed a spotter just sitting. I was sitting in the new glider rocker my Grandmother gave and whoops! I tipped right over, chair and all on my side. "I've fallen and I can't get up!"http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif
