I am starting the 3 day fruit flush today since my eating has been pretty bad the past week & a half. DH will be away for the next few days, so I won't have to cook for him...therefore this is a great time to do it.

I am also hoping to get back into more of an exercise routine - lately I have been doing mostly walking and it's not doing much for me.

So, here goes...

Day 1 - AM:

ETA: starting weight - 126.2 when I woke up this AM.

7:30 AM - My first protein shake. I took FVMom's advice and chugged it because I don't like the taste. The aftertaste is pretty bad too, but water took care of that. I also took my daily vitamin. We'll see how I feel as the day goes on. As of now, I am not hungry.

9:30 AM - second protein shake. Blech. Downed it again quickly. Following with water. Still not hungry. That's a good thing!Edited by: ~ Debi ~

Question re: 3-6 cups of raw salad...

Is that just the green leafy stuff or is is all raw veggies (example, can I have the leafy stuff with tomatoes, celery, cucumber, carrots - or do I just have the lettuce/greens with the oil & lemon juice dressing)?

I counted it as everything kind of. I used 3 cups of salad, 1 cucumber and 2 large carrots. I bought the salad that had veggies in it as well. I topped mine with salsa (only 10 cals and all it is is veggies and spices) because I cannot stand the taste of vinegar, olive oil, or lemon juice lol.

The salad included: 6 oz. of chicken, 2 cups of romaine lettuce, cilantro, 1 1/2 tomato, 1/2 red onion, 1 serving (85 g) of baby carrots, 48 g of broccoli, 4 Radishes, 1/2 (156 g) of cucumber.

TY Ladies!!! I just went out and got more salad stuff so I am all set for tonight. I have some cooked lean turkey that I will put in mine.

11:30 AM - 3rd protein shake. I feel pretty hungry now. My tummy is growling. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif I am not sure if it's because I am really hungry or because 1. I just got back from the grocery store where they were baking stuff & it smelled good...or 2. DH just made lunch for Lexi & him and I am smelling that too. It does look good. Thanks for posting it Vilma - but now that I feel so hungry I can't wait for my salad tonight!!!
1:30 PM ~ about to have my 4th protein shake. It is only 6 oz (3/4 cup) so it doesn't amount to much. My stomach is still growling and I am feeling pretty hungry. 3 more shakes, then dinner!! YAY!

3:30 PM ~ Had my 5th shake. Not hungry anymore. Had Physical Therapy at 2PM so I think that calmed the hunger pangs for awhile. I am on my 4th - 24 oz bottle of water. I am an hour away from my salad and I am looking forward to it.

It's 8:30 PM ~ I had my salad for dinner. It was funny because I figured I am going ot use all 6 cups of salad that I am allowed and I will use 6 oz of turkey. Holy cow - that was a LOT of salad (I will post a pic later). I couldn't nearly finish it...but it was really good! I made dressing with olive oil (basil infused) and lime juice with a little pepper & garlic.

Tomorrow starts the fruit! I cut up a pineapple tonight and it smelled really good - I can't wait to try it tomorrow!

We'll see how the evening goes. I will be up until probably 11:30 and I usually want some kind of snack at night, so I will have to curb that with water.

Day 2 - Fruit day!! I had 1 cup pineapple for breakfast - it was really sweet! The next fruit was an apple. The serving size said 2 apples, but one was plenty for me. I had a little tummy ache this morning but it's gone now.

The scale was down this AM but I am not goingto post the weigh in results until Saturday morning.I am not doing this to lose a significant amount of weight. Just a couple of pounds is okay.

Plus, I have a feeling that once I start back on core foods on Saturday, that I will put some weight back on - and that is OKAY with me. I am very happy where I am right now! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

ETA: went walking at the resevoir this AM with the kids(about 2.5 miles) - what a workout! My calves are killing me from yesterday at PT and the hills this morning!Edited by: ~ Debi ~

Okay - ate all my fruit today. Had my salad for dinner. Had my 12 oz protein shake as directed (almost gagged a few times - it was SO watery and it just smelled bad).

I am having a tough time. I really feel hungry! I want to cheat - but I will do my best to get through this. It's only one more day. I give credit to those of you who do the longer cleanses. I don't think I could ever do that! I almost had some of Lexi's gold fish this afternoon just because they smelled good. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

This is not easy. DH was talkng about all the stuff he ate at his golf event today and I had to tell him to put a sock in it because it was making my mouth water. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif

Day 3 - final day:

The scale is down a little more this AM but I am waiting until I weigh in at WW tomorrow AM before I post the results. Their scales are calibrated better.

Today is also tough. My stomach feels empty and I am pretty hungry. I had a banana at 8 AM, an apple (I could only do one) at 10 AM, 1 cup ofpineapple at 12 PM, and 2 nectarines at 2 PM. I'll have strawberries at 4 PM and then have my salad at 6 PM with the (YUCK) protein shake.

I still keep thinking I might cave and not finish out the day, but I made it this far and I know I can complete this.

I took a great 2.5 mile walk this morning.

Tomorrow we are going to a golf tournament and there will be lots of food - which I will have! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif DH told me thatone tent sells a bowl of strawberries with whipped cream, drizzled with chocolate. You bet I will get one of those bowls!! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif Also, I think we might be going for Flatbread pizza tomorrow night (not as bad asa greasy, cheesy pizza, but it is still pizza nonetheless). So, I really think I will put back on some of the weight I have lost over the past few days - but like I said earlier, it's OKAY!!

One great thing about this flush - not only is it good for the body, it gives me more energy. Another thing - I know that if, down the line, I need to drop a few pounds quickly (say, if I happen to puta littleweight back on, or I need to get into an outfit that maybe is a little snug, etc) that I can do this flush for a few days and possibly lose a few pounds in the process.

I will update later with the evening info.

And I will do a final post tomorrow after my weigh in to give the results of that.Edited by: ~ Debi ~

It's over...I DID IT!!! Well....almost.
I had my salad for dinner (and even though all afternoon I kept telling myself I was going to put turkey& cheese in it - I didn't do it!) I did NOT have the 12 oz protein shake after my salad because I just cannot stomach that stuff today. I had a 24 oz bottle of water instead.

I'm glad this will be done with and I can get back to regular eating (WW Core) tomorrow. Although - tomorrow will be non-core at the golf tourney - then back to core starting Sunday. I have some great recipes to try so I am looking forward to that!
