View Full Version : Master Cleanse

05-30-2007, 08:13 PM
I decided that I am going to start this on Monday.

My company leaves on friday so Monday would be good day to start.

Granted i will still have to cook dinner for hubby and my two kids. which will be hard to do .

But I am willing to give this a try and maybe just maybe it will fix some of my aliments so i wont have to take so much meds ugh

I am hoping that i can get my dumb printer to work otherwise im going to have to write down the master cleanse directions.

I will post my progress as i do it because im going to need a cheering section

Wish me luck

Thanks FV Mom i know you will be and i do have a question for you which grade of maple syrup did you use. Because I was thinking of using Grade A Maple Syrup

I bought the Grade B because it has more nutrients in it, plus it doesn't spike the blood sugar. I attempted to do another cleanse with grade A and couldn't complete itbecause the Grade A spiked my sugar and made me super ungry. I was never hungry when I used the grade B. Oh, please, please, please, only use real lemons or limes you squeeze yourself because the juice you buy already sqeezed is disgusting! You can taste the chemicals really bad (even moreso for me seeing as I already had the good stuff). Oh, the cleanse will work just as well with conventional lemons and limes as organic. I say this because I accidentally bought conventional and didn't realize that they weren't organic until I finished the cleanse. Come to find out not all the produce at whole foods is organic. Conventional just means it comes from local farms, which is the exact same thing you get at Walmart except a LOT cheaper!

Also, make sure you use glass and not plastic to drink out of. The citric acid will leach the chemicals from the plastic and it will taste disgusting and make you sick. I found these Mason Jars really inexpensive at Walmat. I think it was like 5 bucks or less for 12 jars. They come with lids so they're easy for travel too. Well I think that's all the tips I have...

Nope, I have one moresmileys/smiley36.gif. Making meals was really easy but these two tips will save you. Be VERY mindful when preparing the food. I almost licked the spoon and my fingers the first couple of days on the cleanse. I wansn't even hungry, it's just an unconsscious habit us family cooks have. Also, have a glass or two of lemonade whandy when you're cooking and sip while you cook. You will not be hungry of even desire the food because the lemonade is sweet and the food has an opposite flavor so you brain automatically rejects it. I was able to cook lunch and dinner for my family every day without issue because of it. Oh, you will dream about food and some of them will be too funnysmileys/smiley36.gif I had this one dream that I cheated on the cleanse by sneaking out to wendy's in the middle of the night and buying fries. I got back in the bed and was eating them (eeeeeew, I hate eating in the bed lol) when all of a sudden my hubby rolls over and has a Big Bacon classic in his hand eating in in slow motion. I guess it never occured to me hhmmmm.....how did I get Wendy's at 3 in the morning and how in the world did hubby get there and back faster than me with no carsmileys/smiley36.gif I just wanted the burgersmileys/smiley36.gif so moving in slow motion I lean over and try to take the burger but I can reach him....then I wake up!smileys/smiley36.gif I told hubby about my food fantasies and he officially thinks I'm wierd nowsmileys/smiley36.gif I think I even dreamt of a Roast Chicken in the shower ROFL!smileys/smiley36.gif So don't be alarmed because of it. Funny thing is I think I wasn't hungry because subconsciously I was feasting every night!smileys/smiley36.gif You will crave the food whose toxins are currently being removed so be prepared and drink all the lemonade youwant. After 10 days trust me, you won't want to go back to eating because you'll have this incredible energy and mental clarity. I was also more sensitivr to the Holy Spirit during the Fast and got closure on sereral issues I had been dealing with.

Ok, well now that I've written you a book I hope that you can sift through all my babbling and find the answer to your questionsmileys/smiley36.gif

actually your book helps me so i thank you

hmm doing an salt water internal bath in the morning and at night and only having the lemonade during the day

i will have to see if the food store has grade B maple syrup because there is not health food store around me otherwise i might have to order it online somewhere.

Im planning on using only fresh lemons i don't like the lemon juice from the bottle to me it just doesn't taste right.

I will have to drink the lemonade while cooking because i know i will want to try the food to make sure its done and all

Good luck!!
Just make sure you rinse your mouth with waterthoroughly after drinking your cleanse. The acid passing over your teeth and gumsall day (for days) can cause serious damage toyour gums and toothenamel.

Many "Master Cleansers" have reported extremely sensitive teeth after a few days on it.

Drinking from a straw can help as well.

FV Mom did u buy the books for the master cleanse from that site and if so did it help you

05-31-2007, 09:27 PM
Good luck, Linny! The master cleanse is amazing. I'm actually going to be starting it for 21 days in a few weeks.

Be careful with the salt water flush in the evening. I've only done it in the mornings, because my understanding is that if you do it at night your stomach can get really bad. A lot of people do a sienna tea at night at all, or nothing at all.

Check out the message board at the site FV mom linked to, www.therawfoodsite.com (http://www.therawfoodsite.com). It's full of information and people going through it. Another great one is www.rawfoodtalk.com (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com).

Hi Linda. I didn't buy Steve's book, I just had The Master Cleanse ebook (You can download the book from my journal if you haven't already), but I hear his book is really helpful as it has stories of people who actually went through the cleanse and the results they had.

06-02-2007, 07:54 PM
I was able to get the sea salt water and grade A maple syrup at the food store.

According to the manager they stop carrying the grade B because it wasnt a good seller.

Now i was wondering if i was able to make up the lemonade and then keep it in glass jars in my fridge or is this a bad idea?

Also i will be starting this tuesday now because i have to bring my mom up to a back specialist thats about an hour or so away and im not sure how my body will react and especially i will be driving so there wont be a bathroom close by.

You could do that, but for no longer than 24 hours. What I did was I made 2 glasses at a time. Some people makke all their lemondade in the morning. Personally, I liked making it as I went because it kept me busy etc.

06-03-2007, 05:38 PM
i bought more mason jars because the mason jars i currently use is for canning anyways they are big enough that i can make 3 servings in one jar.

But i agree with you now that i think about it that i should make them throughout the day because it will give me more of a feeling that im actually getting full eventhough its in liquid form and also because it might taste weird to me if i let it sit in the fridge for a long period of time

Is this kind of maple syrup ok to use for the master cleanse

Spring Tree 100% pure all natural maple syrup grade A dark amber
