Default Blog Platform Question

So, I notice that WP is the predominant platform used. I just really like Blogger , and I wonder is there a reason Blogger would not be good a Blog?

Blogger is a great platform for blogging and /or writers. One of the reasons we tend to move from Blogger to Wordpress is because Wordpress offers so much more versatility. It is amazing the options available with WP, the endless capabilities with plugins, the awesome WP themes available and it is fantastic for businesses to function the sale of their products. The online support and forums are incredible. I have been using WP for years and I am truly impressed with the constant enhancements.

Hi Angel Noir,

When at all possible, you should transfer your business from Blogger to your own hosted site with WP as the CMS. Here are some of the reason why:

1. You control the site and, thus, cannot have it taken away from you;
2. Search engines favour owned sites to Blogspot (despite G owning the latter);
3. More options (via plugins and the fact you can monetize & design how you wish)
4. Increased sales conversions: people trust owned sites more than free.
5. Professionalism: increased brand trust and respect;
6. Monetization: increased monetization functionality without traffic leaks.

You can get started on cheap virtual hosting, purchase a domain with a coupon code, and find free themes or cheap premium ones. When your income allows it, you can then hire a designer and marketing specialist to take you to the next level of income.

Blogger started deleting masses of make money type blogs several years ago and they continue to do so. All blogs with make money opportunities stand a good chance of being removed, except for those that just have AdSense on them.
