I made money in the first month of having my first site up, just adsense clicks, but it's a great place to start when you have no clue what you're doing

I just don't get how so many people earn money sooooo fast. It's taking me time just to learn SEO and come up with actual content and get a decent amount of visitors. I'm not even expecting to make anything for a few month, if I do that would be surprising and great.

I made money the second week.
I used all free advertising and made money in my second week and got leads the second day. Affiliate marketing is fun and I enjoy it.

Unfortunately, I spent a good month or so spinning my wheels with my primary business. I quickly learned that it isn't the type of business that markets easily online. As such, I started with affiliate marketing in a couple of months later while I took my primary business offline. It took me 3 days to make my first sale, and it's been uphill from there!!!
 I think the most important thing is to have a coach/someone who understands the business to lead you and support you. All too often, we jump in with both feet first and expect to make money, when it just isn't as easy as it looks. There's a significant learning curve...

I made money as well on my first month however, it was not much but I enjoyed it with my girlfriend at a nice restaurant.
It was an overwhelming feeling to know that all my hard work paid off. -Christian

I had almost immediate success with a low-priced Clickbank product using Backpage sponsor advertising. Not huge commissions, but it sure was exciting to see that first check!

Wow, you are all very lucky to have made money online so quickly! I have been struggling for longer than I care to admit.
I spent too much money on learning instead of on advertising. (I am somewhat of an information junkie) That was an expensive lesson. I love hearing how you got started and got that first commission.
