Other than your computer, what technical gizmo could you not do without? Your cell phone, fax machine, ... ?
My cordless phone. With two small kids and nice sunny days like today, I can call clients, push my kids on the swings, make mud pies, and conduct business all from the convenience of my home office which this summer, will be my back yard!
Portable phone! Having a cordless phone has saved my sanity - I love the freedom of being able to go from room to room, do chores,and escape from my son as necessary!
cell phone: I need it because of the possibility of an emergency. I once was stranded in the middle of a dark empty highway with no phones. that's when I decided to purchase a cell phone.
How did we live without caller i.d.? I hate to be one who screens calls, but it is so nice to know what your getting into before you answer the phone!
My T-Fal deep fryer-fat, fat, fat! I put anything in and it comes out mess free and crispy in three minutes. Yipee!!

Cell Phone: for one I am not a work at home "Mom" although, I wish I was..that is what I need the cell phone for (laugh) I do a lot of commuting, to get not only to work but to day care for my son who is ten (10) yrs old...
My fax machine. It's amazing how you can live without something for so many years and never miss it, but after you've had it a while it becomes complete panic city if there's a problem with it, like the microwave. A fax machine is absolutely essential for me, especially since I have to do communications over long distances. I could never afford to be in business otherwise. but even if I were out of business, I would now want a fax machine because I find I use it for so many personal uses as well, that I never dreamed I would. I have both a thermal and a regular paper fax, but I never use the thermal anymore since getting the regular paper one. I badly want a cell phone, but haven't taken the plunge yet. I'm interested to hear others' comments on how essential they find those.
I could not be without my microwave. I unfortunately have my microwave and computer on the same breaker and can't use both at the same time or we are sitting in the dark. When I have to choose which I REALLY need, it is a hard choice.

I could not live without ALL of my gizmos. Call forwarding from my home/office to the cell phone WITH caller ID is a must so I know how to answer...."yep" or professionally....
Absolutely could not do without my cordless phone with Caller-ID right on the phone. It's the only secretary I could find that doesn't have to get paid at the end of the week! While I'm working, I can screen my calls for those that I need to answer and let my answering machine take care of the rest. It's great to have when you're not working too.(But don't tell my mother-in-law that. Just kidding, mom.) A cordless phone with Caller-ID...a must for every WAHM!!
I can't live without my computer. I have found not answering the phone and being able to work in the middle of the night are the best way for me to work more efficiently and spend more time with my family.
Pager. With out my pager, I would be lost. I would never know when my family needs me. I would definitly be lost without it!!!
