Default Quick Elance question

Okay, I was applying to several jobs tonight and a few popped up telling me I did not have enough connections/connects to apply for the job. I understand that with a membership I would get more. Is it worth it? How exactly do the connections/connects translate when applying for a job?

It's been a while since I've been on the site, but I think it's $10 a month for 50 connects. I thought it was totally worth it.

You can choose from different membership levels to get more connects. However, some levels require you to have a certain amount of users. I think for a small business, it's five. Then, you also have the option to add more connects to your account. If I'm not mistaken, it's like $20 for 40 connects. I've personally never did it only because I don't think it's worth it, since I rarely bid on jobs. If you're an avid bidder and receive jobs on there, it may be worthwhile.
