Default BMR Editing Rates

I have a potential client that wants150 word BMR articles edited. Can anyone suggest a sensible price for this? I only have one client that I do editing for but sometimes her articles can be pretty bad and she pays 0.02 a word. However, I know this would not be a rate many are willing to pay to have BMR articles written so I can imagine it would not be an appropriate editing rate.

From what I've seen these posts run from .50 to $1.00 each for writers. Low, but they go quickly. Not sure what editing would be.

I would say since the average price to write these go between 0.50-$1.00, for editing, I would charge 0.50 per word. It depends though how badly written they are. I would ask the client if you could see a sample so that you could determine an accurate price.

If you need help, please let me know. I am take pride in my editing skills and I help out many of my fellow WAH friends and members of this board. Thanks

Holy cow! Well, I'm up for it! I love to edit more than I like to write at times, so it would definitely be a good change up in my daily schedule. If you land this gig, just contact me and I would love to partner up with you!

Default Editing BMR posts

I wanted to say something about your BMR post. I'd like to chime in with the same offer as ktjones. I actually have a client who pays me on the high end of prices for BMR posts, but it is very, very part-time. I'm guessing that the worst editing BMR posts could be is re-writing them? If I can help too, let me know. Thanks

The owner of BMR pays 10 cents to proof each 150 word article. To edit? He just rejects. For a private client it would depend on who wrote the articles... they are not rocket science so any editing would typically be because of foreign writers. Many people use foreign writers because they think they are getting a good deal, but most of the time the articles get rejected.

This is something that I have been considering to. I am waiting on him to send me one of the articles so I can see if it is actually editing or re writing.

I would definitely charge at least 1.00 per BMR, especially if the writing is pretty bad at times. If you need any help with the project, just let me know.

If you need to edit BMR articles then I'm assuming the writing is awful because I have seen what is posted on the BMR sites. Truthfully, it may be more work than you think and you may just end up rewriting all of them rather than just editing.
