Default How Do You Stay Focused?

I wrote a blog post this morning about ways to stay focused and to boost your hourly income, and when I started backlinking I noticed a few interesting posts on the subject. There are so many ways to increase your focus when you sit down to write, and I've read about writers that even switch off their internet to keep them from getting distracted! I'd love to hear what some of you do to stay focused or to increase your efficiency when writing. I've used focusbooster and I sometimes use an online timer as well. I'd love to speed up my writing a little, so any tips would be welcome!

I close all other windows and put my ear buds in and write. If I lose focus, I check my Paypal balance and that snaps me right back

I should try that. It's interesting how a lot of writers say that noise distracts them. I can't have music playing in the background when I write, and I guess background noises distract me too. I've just gotten so used to it that I've never thought about using earplugs....it's an idea though! Love the Paypal idea. That should serve as a real motivation.
