I wasn't suggesting that anyone who is posting for work be required to post in a certain way. I just thought an agreed-upon laundry list of what to include would be advantageous for both people with work and writers alike as a loose guideline.

Maybe a sticky thread with the writers information, what types of articles each writer does, how much they charge, etc. Then the ones looking to hire can go through and ask the writer directly if they see someone who is a great fit for them.

While this could work for some, I don't think it would work for me. My rates vary based on how long it would take me to complete a given project. I can respond with my rates based on instructions from a client, but I don't have a specific rate that I can post. Sometimes I'm available for work and sometimes not, so I'd rather contact a client if I need the work and think I fit and not the other way around.

It would be nice if we can somehow do both
