Default Checklist.com

I know that this one has been discussed before, but I'm bringing it up again. I have been accepted to write here and I don't know how I feel about it. It seems like a great opportunity and something that I would really enjoy. The contact person is always more than helpful and everything seems legit, but for some reason, I just can't shake the feeling that something is shady. I submitted two assignments so far and have had feedback on one. I am told that assignments that are published before the 30th will be invoiced and paid; but only those that are published. IDK, it may just be me b/c I've been burned so many times before...Any thoughts on this one?

I was going to try, but I wasn't sure how to apply, then I forgot.

I just got approved. The contact seems very professional and prompt, and I'm going to do at least one round of articles and see how it goes. I figure that doing it just once will not hurt me, and if it doesn't work out I'll have learned a lesson. They seem to be legitimate with the contract. I've worked with other private clients with no clear contract before.

Default I'm writing for them too

I have five assigned articles so far, two of which are drafts and I have had feedback from Margaret. The feedback is fair, but I am still not entirely clear on guidelines, and have not had them explained. My topics are not just a list of items, but are more like how-to processes, and I'm not sure how to develop a name for each task that stands on its own, along with explaining the item further. I asked this, but received no response.

I have also asked Reut a couple times how many articles I will be assigned weekly, and have received no reply.

I'm also a bit nervous about this gig, mainly because I am not clear on the guidelines for my articles and have not had success in getting my questions answered. I have been asked to do quite a bit of revision on the two articles I submitted so far, and I am going to work on them today, as well as get the other three going.

I want to see if I am paid on time, and if I get answers to my questions, before I write beyond my first five.

Default Payment when published

Hope, you said you were told we would be paid for articles published by the 30th? But my understanding is nothing will be published until their new website is up, and it's unclear on when exactly that will be.

I really need this gig to come through, I hope it's legit.

Based on the contract and writer's forum, they seem legit... just perhaps a bit unorganized as of now. As if they are still figuring out their own rules.

Mitako, I hear you -- I really need this one to come through, too. Yes, he said if my articles were published by the 30, I could invoice them. I have written two and received feedback from one. That one now has a photo attached to it (which I guess Reut attached) and is just sitting there. I see that maybe three or four articles have been published by other people, but a bunch have been published by Reut recently. I want to know why Reut is publishing articles and not what writers have written. Contacts have always been nice and I've always received a timely response, but I am just really concerned. I don't want to write anymore until I know for sure that I am going to get paid. It seems like it will be an awesome gig, but I am still really apprehensive.

I decided not to work with them. I was invited to write an unpaid sample and something about the email made me feel uncomfortable. So I researched and there was someone who had trouble getting paid from them on time.

They may be legit, but it just didn't seem like a good fit for me or something I wanted to risk getting involved with at this time.

I hope it works out for you.

I keep asking for clarification on the guidelines, but not getting a response. I spent quite a bit of time yesterday making suggested revisions, and plan on doing one or two more articles today out of the five I was assigned.

I see there are more than 30 published by Reut, but as of yesterday, none published by anyone else.

We'll see. I did hear back from Reut in regards to my question of how many articles per week we could expect. I was hoping it would be around 20. She replied probably less than that, but nothing was certain at this time.
