Default Sold My First Kindle eBook!

I'm very, very excited. Uploaded my first Kindle eBook yesterday and it just got its first sale! I know that's no guarantee of future sales, but it feels like the first hurdle is crossed...it appealed to someone enough to entire them to purchase it. I lost a lot of income when DS went to pot; I plan to focus on eBooks in 2012, so this gives me hope for the new year.

Congratulations! Good for you! Yes, you need to focus and aim for specific goals...so it seems you're definitely headed in the right direction.

Wow congratulations! Do you know if there is a "how to" on ebooks? I want to write one but don't know the steps and how to sell it.

I bought a how-to, but it's mainly on formatting them with some hints on making the description etc. The title is "How to Publish and Sell Your Article on the Kindle: 12 Tips for Short Documents," and it's written by Kate Harper. Although it's aimed at articles, I think it's useful for books, too, and it's only 99 cents. I definitely used some of the info. in putting mine together.
