I've got a marketing idea and I'm wondering if anyone has tried anything similar & if so, was it a success? I'm marketing a PDF guide and theme park map/information packet. I have a good platform for advertising, but my thoughts were that I could reach out for affiliates, give them each a code, and give them a dollar or two whenever someone uses their code via Paypal checkout. I sold a similar guide years ago and it was successful, but I did all my own marketing. I don't really see a downside because I don't mind sharing some of the profits and the people who market it get $ with no investment but time. Is there some downside I'm missing (other than having to issue a 1099 if someone makes more than $600)? I'd love to hear from anyone who has done this sort of thing before I plunge in and discover some glitch I didn't foresee.

Well, I guess no one has tried this. I'm going to give it a go, and I'll report back on the results in case it's something anyone else could use.

I haven't done it, but I really like your idea. Good luck.
