I was wondering if anyone received their final payment from Nextag? Usually it's here by now, and, as it's a final payment, I'm a bit worried.

I haven't gotten mine yet as of yesterday. Waiting on the mail today. I'm thinking the holidays and the influx of mail could be part of the blame. But it would be nice if it would hurry up and get here.

Wow. Way to screw over your writers who may have been depending on that final check for the holidays.

NexTag did not scew anyone before the holidays. Not that I should have to explain, but they do distribute an estimated payment schedule which allows approximately 1 month before they pay for each assignment. Yes, typically they are faster with payments, but if you expect to be paid by the latest date listed on the sheet, then you can plan your finances accordingly. Sorry, I loved writing for NexTag and hate to hear anyone bash them.

Yes, I agree. Under the contract terms it said it would take a month to get paid, but they usually paid in about two weeks which was always a nice surprise.

I was definitely starting to get "nervous" so to speak, only b/c this is the final payment. This nervousness came not b/c of anything Nextag ever did wrong, just fears from other companies that had to let go all of their writers in the past and then were shady in the end. So I was happy to sign on and see this thread and that everything is being sent out Monday.

Joe was probably one of the nicest and most reliable people I have ever worked with over the web. He always had such accurate and great communication.

If things ever change and Nextag ever needs writers again, I would be open to it in a heartbeat.
