I'm interested in applying as well but the addresses on Craigslist are no longer active and the job is no longer up on Media Bistro. Any ideas how a girl might get an application in

Here's what Brandon said when I mentioned others are interested in applying:

Because of the amount of applications we've been receiving, it may take 4-6 weeks for us to get back to them.

Thanks,
Brandon

The book summary I just finished writing (and got paid my one-half deposit for completing the first draft acceptably), I can assure you, was WELL WRITTEN. If I get an opportunity to write ebooks, those will also be well-written.

Perhaps you should take a look at some of their other information and talk to others who actually write for Hyperink before making uninformed judgments. Yes, they are a startup business model for ebooks, but it seems to me if they got the attention of Forbes, they have begun to establish a good reputation.
Ok, but the link posted was useful. Posting a link and saying what it contains is not making an "uninformed judgement" nor is it rude. If all we wanted to hear was rah-rah-sis-boom-bah we could read the company's PR page.

Anyway, I'm not here to argue. I'm just here to find out if you got the rest of your money.

Default I wrote for them

I wrote a "Quicklet" book summary for them a couple months ago. I was paid $200, half when I delivered the first draft, half when I finished.

I was given very clear instructions on their guidelines, and the editor gave very clear feedback on desired changes and edits.

I would love to write another Quicklet for them, and my experience was very positive.

I don't know anything about this company, but if anyone out there thinks that product reviews and book reviews always come from real people you've been living in a cave or under a rock.

LoL! I knew that before I even started getting paid to write stuff like that! If I wasn't getting paid to write a review, I would only take the time out of my day to leave one if a product / book REALLY REALLY sucked or it REALLY REALLY impressed me. Even then, I probably wouldn't..

It still amazes me how much stock other people put in the stuff written on the Internet. I have family and friends that have bought stuff online just because the reviews were good or the stuff had "great testimonials". I once had a long discussion with someone, because they tried to tell me that an online data entry position (which they had to pay to access) was legitimate, because the site had a bunch of testimonials and pictures of "real checks". This person argued that if sites like that were scams, the Internet search engines wouldn't list them EVERY time she searched for them.

In the end, I gave up. I tried to get her to sign on with TextBroker, since she wanted to work at home, but she said it was too hard and took too much time...
