Default Anyone still writing for Constant Content?

I haven't read much about Constant Content on the boards lately and was wondering if there are any writers out there that still write for them successfully. I created an account awhile back, when I first began content writing, but have not submitted an article. I remember hearing good things about them, except for the fact that the editors are very picky. I just logged on their site for the first time in a while, and the custom order requests (or whatever they call them) seem to have slowed down. There were only a few compared to when I first signed up to the site -- back then there were what seemed like a hundred or so. Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone still had any luck with them. Thanks!

I still write for them occassionally. I don't respond to order requests, I just post my own articles for sale. It's pretty hit or miss, but that's the nature of the site. One article may sell in minutes after being posted and another may take weeks. It's definitely worth it for supplemental income, in my opinion. I remember seeing that they've been slow with review times lately because an overwhelming number of submissions (which I think had to do with people being let go from the DMS).

I haven't posted anything new since 2007, but I have made close to $6K there total. Most of that was with open orders, but I do still make a sale here or there on other articles that I posted there with usage rights. Out of a few hundred articles, I only have a handful that have had no sales at all, and a lot of mine are on some pretty obscure topics.

I made a sale just two days ago, but it was the first sale I'd made in two months. I need to put up more, though. Most of my uniques have already been sold. I like that you can sell usage rights, though. That could be lucrative if you hit on some good topics.

I was actually wondering about this myself lately. I've sold a few articles on there and was thinking about putting up some more, but there are two reasons why I haven't yet. I checked out the forums there, and it seems like review times are very long. While I do proofread my work, I would hate to wait for a week or more for my article to hopefully get approved. There's also the possibility that it'll be returned for something minor and then I'd have to resubmit and wait a very long time again.

Another thing I learned from the forums is that there are a lot of people who are stealing articles from CC. I know there is an option to only put up 1/3 of an article, but it's MUCH easier in my opinion to sell articles that can be previewed entirely, so it's a double edged sword in a way.

I haven't been there in a long time now. I didn't know about the risk of articles being stolen. I'd think twice or more about putting up articles there now. There was an instance recently at HubPages, where an article was stolen and HubPages took down the content of the original author erroneously. The scary thing was that the person who stole it did so only 2 days after the original article was published at HubPages.

Thankfully, HP staff reviewed it and republished the original article, but this example just shows how easy it is for someone else to claim the original copyright if your article does not have a long online published history.

The theft incident was actually somebody hacking the site...only putting up 1/3 as the preview wouldn't help, because somebody was getting in and stealing files. CC claims they've fixed that loophole, but it does worry me a little, and is one reason why I don't write for there as much as I might.

The other being slow sales. It's good money...when you can sell something.

I been there for a while now and sell 2-3 articles a month. The wait time for reviews is averaging right around 7-8 days, and with the holiday last weekend I'm sure they're probably bogged down right now. It helps to keep an eye on the public requests and watch what types of articles are being sold. Every penny slides nicely into my savings account

I have a list of things I want to write for CC, but due to procrastination, other things popping up, I haven't had a chance. I haven't submitted anything there since last spring when review times were considerably shorter.

Default Writing for CC

I've been submitting articles to CC for a few years now, and quite a few of my article were purchased. The editors at CC have been good to me. I have no complaints. One of my articles was stolen, though, and CC went after the culprit and had his/her website shut down. Years ago when the economy was in better shape, there were more public requests to choose from and you could set your price higher. I remember selling my first article with them for $100, an article that took me little time to write and one I fun with. Since then it seems many expect to pay much less for an article. I love it when I check my email and find a notification saying one of my articles sold, even if I had to wait 10 months for it to sell. Better late than never, I believe. I don't write as much as I'd like to for the site because I have a hard time trying to guess what the public wants, but I will try to submit more content. I think CC is an excellent place to market your work.
