The only drawback is you get paid via a combination of traffic to your article, and people clicking ads an purchasing items. I know I won't get rich, but it's fun to write, and hopefully I'll get paid too

I have never heard that people need to buy things to change my amount. Examiner pays the best per 1,000 views out of any site I can find, but people do not have to purchase for you to make a great income

Thank you for letting us know. Examiner has been mentioned on here before. You forgot to mention that you refer people to examiner with your link in order to try to get bonus money. It would help to be honest with people upfront. Deception isn't the answer.
