I'm not sure this is what you mean, but I'd love to know the best WP Facebook connect/ social media plugin and how to use it. I'm having a frustratingly hard time just getting a Facebook "like" button on my WP blog.

My question (concern) is how to keep the private seperate from the business especially on Facebook. The whole concept of having only one FB account does not work well for me.

I dont mix my personal life with business but I think Facebook is an amazing source of traffic and well worth the effort. How do you ladies address this issue w/o going against FB TOS?

I have a question. Could you please explain to me the purpose of doing social media. Personally I don't get it. In my personal life I have avoided it. So I don't understand it, nor do I understand the need for it. I also don't understand how to go about it. In all honesty I know so little about it that I'm lucky I know what it even is! lol

Think about every success you've ever had - did you get there alone? Or were there people that helped you out along the way?

Think about how we learn things - from reading, from people with experience, from watching others be successful.

We need others to succeed. The most successful people have been known to say, "I couldn't have done it without so-and-so"...

So how are you going to find people to learn from if you aren't networking?

Hi Danielle,

Looks great and your tip is exactly what I was going to suggest to everyone. Use your profile for your personal stuff and then create a Business/Fan Page for your professional work. It's a great way to keep the two worlds separate

I would like to see some tips on how to use social media to promote my work without sounding "spammy." I know that I get annoyed when I see my friends repeatedly promoting their businesses/articles/professional projects on Facebook and Twitter. (In my opinion, these “I just updated my blog!” status updates are pointless. If I enjoy your blog, I’ll add it to my reader.)

Along these same lines, I would also like to see you discuss social media etiquette.

Ah - I see what you mean. This sounds like a great post about Networked Blogs on Facebook. I'll definitely add that to my list.

I'm thinking that I need a New Social Networkers Start Here page on my blog with links to the posts that are just for newbies.

This is a great time to start this since I'm going to be participating in the Ultimate Blog Challenge again this month!

This is all so true... we are constantly learning every day, and if we surround ourselves with smart people--- we learn so much more! Luckily, most people online are very generous and share their knowledge, so that we can all learn and grow.
