Tenderone, I just read this article on aboutfreelancewriting.com and thought of you:

Writing A Draft? Silence That Inner Critic!

It has some excellent tips that you might want to try.

Thank you for thinking of me! I read through it, and it made me feel better knowing that I'm not the only one out there that feels this way.

Well, I didn't do so hot (time-wise) today on my TB article. It took me a little over an hour to earn $6.85. I was having brain farts, I think. It truly was just a "good enough" article. It could have been better, but I submitted it.

I thought I knew more about the subject than I did. I am not sure how to write a faster article on something that I don't know much about. I provide quality even on a low paying gig.

I have come to the conclusion that I need a higher paying gig. I would feel better earning (as a PP said) a higher wage if I had to spend over an hour writing/researching it.

What are some of the higher paying gigs? I am a writer for Suite, but I would like a gig that pays upfront as well. My plan is to do both.

Doesn't AC pay upfront? I was just about to apply with them, based on an ebook I read last nite. A big reason I was going with AC was that the ebook said they pay upfront. Please advise.

Oh, and congrats on your "good 'nuff" mission!

Later,

Mr. G

LOL, thanks! It certainly has helped me in completing articles.

Yes, AC does pay upfront, but, unfortunately, they pay less than TB for me as I am at a 4 rating

@Tenderone: Being a perfectionist does help, albeit in the long run. Remember, even though you are earning less right now, you're gaining invaluable experience. I am not sure about the word processor that you use, but if it is MS Word, please configure it so that it can trap all types of mistakes.

Generally, it takes me 20 minutes or so to complete a 500 words article on a niche I am comfortable in. But, some of my articles on sites like `CC' (not CC though) have fetched me up to $65.

You should be aware that as you enhance your knowledge on a particular niche, you are simultaneously enhancing your knowledge on the opposite niche.

1) Getting rid of fat easily
2) The dangers of being extra slim

Both are opposite niches but 90% of whatever knowledge that you have gained during researching for the 1st will help you out on the 2nd.

Just my 20 cents (after adjusting for inflation)
