Default Stupid question from a newbie

I am trying writing to supplement my subbing. I inquired at Bright Hub. I got a user name and password and account. OK?? How do I go about getting the actual assignments. I applied got the username and password but can't figure out where to go to get the assignments. I can't even figure out how to apply on internet brands!

Congratulations on getting on with BH - I've heard they are a great company to work with. I plan on watching this thread because I signed up with them too and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get assignments either so you are definitely not alone there. : (

Congratulations! Brighthub is one of my favorite places to write for. When you got accepted you should have received an e-mail from the editor of the channel you are writing for. After you have read the information on the rules for writing for Brighthub, you send the editor an e-mail letting them know you are ready to start. They then will make writing opportunities visible to you. You can find these opportunites on your writers dashboard under opportunities.

Sometimes the 'auto' emails beat the editors...okay, a lot of the time!!

Once you sign into the BH site, look to the top right corner...click on writer dashboard...then click on assignments( I think it's on the left, a few lines down)...THEN lol...on the right you'll see a 'get new assigments tab' and that's the one that will take you to the available titles in the channel you are writing for.

See if that rambling helps you any?!? Good luck!

I am having the same problem. Also no email arrived from an editor. I've had the account for a month now. It is really frustrating. I also cannot seem to find a place where I can contact someone at BrightHub to help with the problem. Is there a forum on the site I can go to for help?

OK. Well I emailed. I got an account, not acceptance to write? Weird.

When you first sign up with Bright Hub, you create an account and then apply for channels. The account itself isn't an approval...you have to fill out applications and wait for an editor to add you onto a channel .
