Thanks for the info. I replied as well, was told it was finance articles, and never got an answer to my question on rates (and I asked in both my emails)

I will go ahead with it and keep you all posted. He doesn't seem like a bad guy so we will see.

I emailed him as well asking some basic questions like how much the pay per article/word was, payment method, date of payment, and types of articles and turnaround time. I was leary the minute I saw the email. I am going on my gut with this one. I got answers that were less than concrete. About payment I was told "I can pay between (amount) and (amount). That was a little off putting for me. Either you have a set pay or you don't. Per article, per project, or per word. I consider between amounts or I can pay between amounts to be a red flag if I'm not bidding on an article ya know?
There was no set answer for pay date either. It was also a I can pay on this date or that date or I can do this or that. I understand flexible but this was bordering on a heavy yoga session for flexibility. Nothing was set. Nothing was a solid answer. It was always I can or loose options. I was also told it was for finance/loan type stuff.
A gmail address that doesn't pop on any google or person search.
A loose "I can pay between" for payment
Several options for payment but nothing concrete or We pay this, this and this. It was an I can pay by...
And the prices he gave were pretty high to be so loose with all that information.

It was just to red flag for me.

I emailed him, asked about payment. He asked me how much I wanted. I expressed my pay rate and he agreed. When I asked for title or topic, he said I would have to come up with that. He has posted on here before. I'm going to give him a shot and see if he does in fact pay. That way all writers on this site will know. I'll keep you all updated.

I've worked with him before, in February of this year, writing articles about CNA courses. He paid on time, and didn't ask me to submit them anywhere - I just emailed them to him. He asked my rate, and paid it without any issues. I just emailed about picking work again, now that he's advertising again.

I am not going forward with this. I am not going to risk my name or business for the sake of money.

The person I spoke to (I say this because the name of the person I spoke to is not the same as the posters name) does not want me to disclose that I was paid for the article. I told them that I would have to disclose our arrangement in the articles per FTC guidelines and his/her view on FTC guidelines was if you don't say anything then how are they gonna find out.
