Right now, I write for:
Need-an-article Internet Brands Experts123 Textbroker .....and I'm also waiting on a "yes or no" from valley direct media... and I'm about to apply to the content authority in a few more days as soon as I get caught up on everything else! At some point this weekend, I'll also be trying out for Content Divas. Trying to get as many eggs as possible as things are bound to slow down around the holidays (which I know will be here before we all know it). I dont' have any private clients as of yet, but I'm still working on my site. My favorite is NAA, but lately, it's very dry, so I'd have to say Textbroker is next in line (particularly due to the simplicity), and then maybe Experts123, because of the WFH pay. I get most of my work from NAA and TB, but really need to try to work more on E123 and IB. |

I write for:
IB TB Break Content Authority BrightHub Private Client (just two right now but I'm working on expanding that) NextLevel (should be starting this month) My own blogs. I like them all for different reasons. IB because the articles offered are generally something I am interested in and are along a topic line that I can expand on for other articles in the future. TB for the ease of being able to pick up work at the drop of a hat should I need any filler at the last minute. The same goes for CA. Brighthub for the payment per article and the rev share option. Also, the articles (at least the categories I am in) have my byline. I can send clients back to them time and again rather than sending them to only my blog. I like the private clients that I have because the topics are something I enjoy, the pay is decent, and with one of them I have my own byline on an internet published magazine. Not bad for a quick craigslist pickup job. Nextlevel because of the pay stated in the ad that was placed in the forum. I'll have to wait on other reasons since we haven't started yet. My own blogs...obvious reasons

I have things i like about all the sites i write for -- and things i don't like
IB would be my favorite if they paid more than once a month BS would be next if they had different article choices TB is great when they have 5-star articles WG, I'm still getting the hang of. I like it, but it takes me too long to write an article there. I think it might be my favorite, once I understand it better. DS -- I have a love/hate thing going there like most people. |

Sherry,
I totally agree with you on all counts. I'm on the wordgigs waiting list so we will see if that one comes through. For me it's Brighthub that I'm getting the hang of. I'm probably going to take some time off tonight to really focus on the tutorials/guides for them. Hopefully I can have my questions answered that way. I do wish some of the companies would pay more than once per month though. I think, with IB especially, I would be willing to take a small cut in pay for more payments. For example, when I was doing phone work, I worked with a company that you could be paid once per month with no fee taken out of the check. Twice a month meant you would loose like $5 from your pay for processing and once per week was $10 but you could avoid that if you did a certain number of talk minutes. A little confusing at first but I would be totally willing to take a $5-$10 cut for weekly pay. |

I write for:
Demand Studios Love to Know WiseGEEK My favorite is WG because the editors are super nice, payment is extremely quick and the articles are really straightforward and short. |

Right now,
Demand Studios Associated Content Bright Hub Text Broker (occasionally) and just applied to Constant Content. Have to figure out how that all works as I guess I passed their "quiz. . ." I'm liking BH mainly b/c I can write about what I'm interested in, but I like DS when I pick titles that can be done in under an hour (just learning that one), but I hate the re-writes. I am definitely learning, though, how to be a better writer through them.

Text Broker - haven't written anything for them in a long time Constant Content - haven't done anything with them Wow - that's a lot, huh? I concentrate on DS and BH plus my private client

I write for print publications
Demand Studios WiseGeek Associated Content Break Studios Bright Hub Textbroker ecopywriters I like print best, it’s so varied and pay is usually good. Plus, I actually find the editors much easier to work with. Next would be Wisegeek, very quick reviews and pay, and now my editor is great!! 3rd is Demand. Good pay. I do Livestrong and modern moms, which pay $20 to $30. Twice weekly pay is good. Cons are editors want different things. You will be told one thing, and next CE tells you something different. Associated Content would be 4th on my list. I only due the featured contributor stuff. They are easy to write, but pay in only $10.00 Bright hub, only wrote one articles, may try more. ecopywriters, no titles I can write on usually. Review times were pitiful. I hardly every do anything. Textbroker would be last on my list, because pay is so low. But I do like having them as a backup. You never know. I am signed up at Break Studios, but have yet to write anything. |

Right now, I'm writing regularly for DS (LiveStrong almost exclusively) and three private clients. I like different things about all of them... DS pays exactly when I know they will, twice weekly. My private clients pay monthly. The private client work is typically more interesting, plus I have feedback from an individual in each case, not a random CE who may or may not do things the same way as the last CE. The work is very plentiful at DS, and that's where I make most of my money. I have an account on TB as well, but I've only written two articles for them... I'm a level 4, and $5 (or so) per article is not worth it to me. I know that I should invest the time to become a level 5, which pays more, but I haven't really had the time to do that. I also am still getting residual income from ehow (around $40 per month), which is nice, because I'm not doing anything, and sometimes I get small one-time private client jobs that are nice, because it's something different.
