Default best sites that pay per article

I am new at doing this kind of. I have articles published on eHow, Ezine Articles and Go Articles and have not made anything from them but that was only 1 month ago. Text Broker approved me. What other sites pay per article? I have 8 hours a day to work on article writing. I really, really need about $1,500.00 within a month. Any other sites that pay like Text Broker? I do want residual income too but I know that takes time. My husband is laid off and making less than half of what he made working. He got laid off in October of 2009. I work at home and the company I work for has hardly any work right now and I am making literally nothing. I sent Demand Studios a sample but haven't heard from them yet. That was 2 days ago. I know they pay well too. I would love to have a few more sites that pay per article. Any tips? I have older kids that are in school all day (13 and 18) so I have a lot of time to work on writing. Even in the evenings along with the day. I am going to have to make as much money as I can to get us caught up. I am so surprised to see how much some of you ladies are making from article writing!!

I would suggest Demand Studios for upfront pay. I've heard some folks like Internet Brands as well.

There are some older posts here about DS that other writers here easily were bringing in that much. It would mean you'd need to write 5 articles at $15 a day, 5 days a week, but I could see that possible with 8 hrs available to write.

I write for IB and love it. For quick cash though (IB pays monthly) I've had success using Elance. And maybe try constant content.

Hope that helps and good luck. This economic state is aweful...there are too many people, in my opinion, that have lost their jobs... it's really hard I know. Just stay strong~ this forum is great for support

There really are many sites which pay upfront. Some are rather low per article, but if you write and type fast, you can make Ok money. I mean I guess it depends on what you consider Ok. I do anywhere from $12 to about $30 an hour writing.

Along with Demand and Internet brands, you can try Brighthub, WiseGeek, Star Reviews, ecopywriters (they seem to be slow to review), Associated Content is low, but you may get lucky. Break Studios is pretty new, I signed up and have titles but not submitted yet; don’t know how quick they pay. That’s just a few. Good Luck!!!

Demand would be great for you, so you are off to a great start by applying there. There is a pretty popular blog that a lot of people here frequent: Freelance Writing Jobs | A Freelance Writing Community and Freelance Writing Jobs Resource where freelance writing jobs are posted regularly. Worth watching for opportunities!

Break Studios currently pays $8 per article, 250 word min. They pay every two weeks, but it does take a few days to have articles reviewed. Right now, the limit is 10 articles at a time.

Thanks everyone - I plan on making really good money as I have up to 8 hours per day to do it - not sure if I can do it like that - LOL probably more like 6 hours per day. I bet I would get really burned out doing 8 hours per day but will try it. I have not heard from DS yet. I applied with them a few months ago and got turned down but I sent them a technical type resume and I made a new freelance resume - I have articles on eHow and Ezine Articles so I put a link to those on there plus a sample. Hope I get it! I got on with Text Brokers, Associated Content and Constant Content so starting out with those. I also applied with Break Studios and she sent me an email late Friday afternoon asking me questions. I sent it back but probably too late for her to get it. Hope to hear from her on Monday. I am new but everyone I've ever sent a sample to sent me back a response that said my writing was fantastic. I have worked at home for 9 years and have never had a job that I love but I do love to write and I know I will love doing this. Wish I would have started this out a long time ago. I am going to do affiliate marketing too once I start making good money with writing because I know affiliate marketing takes a lot of time to really get going in. I know DS pays really good so hopefully I will hear something great from them soon.

Thanks everyone for all the tips - you guys are so great on here and so very helpful. I have found every single job I've ever had working at home on these boards.

Re Break Studios,

Just so you don't get the wrong picture, I had articles sitting in my queue for nigh on two weeks before they were published, and I am still waiting on payment.

It may be the categories I write for but their turnaround time is REALLY slow. I hope they get the kinks worked out soon.

Textbroker can be really quick, in addition to the others mentioned above.

I just got accepted at Break Studios - $8.00 per article - 10 articles max per day (I think) so 80.00 a day isn't too bad along with the other writing sites I am doing. I may be wrong on the 10 articles max per day. The only thing about them is their writing guidelines. I can see they are very picky. I printed them out (7 pages) and am going to study them before I start writing. Someone compared them to DS? Is DS really strict with guidelines as well? Still have not heard from them and it's been 3 days - hopefully I will soon!
