Default PayPal premier account

I was thinking to upgrade my personal account on PayPal to a premier one. If I do it, do I have to provide tax information/ proof? I need to do it in order to be able to withdraw more than $500/ month.

I don't know anything about the tax information but I do know if you get a paypal debit card you can use it right away instead of withdrawing to your bank account. I have one and as soon as I am paid the money is on my debit card. That way you don't have to worry about being able to withdraw more than $500 per month. Hope this helps.

Does it cost anything to upgrade?

What do you mean, like a business tax id? I have a premier and I didn't have give them any kind of tax information. The process is simple. Each year they do create an tax form for me for any interest I've made on my balance so I may have given them my soc. number.

I love my PayPal debit card. I get paid directly to it every week. I don't remember having to do anything special to get the premier account. I just applied for it. Don't think it required any more information than setting up my basic account.

The debit card is definitely handy, plus you earn cash back when you use it.

Andra, just in case you didn't know, the PayPal debit-card referred to above by US-resident members is not relevant to your situation: it's not available in Romania.
