Default [WTH]Blog Owners and Writers $5 - $50 per piece

Hello WAHM members:

I am hiring people who are blog owners, it could be blogspot or wordpress or something on your own domain it does not matter. We want our product reviewed and I came to WAHM just so I can get better search exposure as sites like ppp or others tend to do bad on google results.

We have 2 products and we would like to have as many positive reviews about it as possible. We can pay from $5 - $50 per piece it all depends how good your review and your blog is in search engines for big blogger we can change the pricing of course.

We are in search of moms who have accounts across sites like AC, Examiner, Suite101, EzineArticles ETC as well, we want them to publish our article and it will also be a paid job.

Payments are 50% upfront and 50% after the work is done. Currently we can only do Paypal and in future may be Moneybookers. If you fall in any of the categories please private message me or mail me to domain.linkz[at]gmail[.]com

Make sure your blog is about 3 months old.

Richy.

I'm curious as I am a blogger, the new FTC guidelines are declaring the bloggers need to disclose their relationship with brands and products. Which if you aren't familiar that means that we will have to disclose that we were paid to write that review.

Will you provide the bloggers with the legalese for them to include in their posts or will that be on the bloggers to come up with on their own? I write for a major digital network and they provide the writers with the proper legal disclosure when we write review posts, so I'm very curious.

In all honesty, I don't know a lot of bloggers who will touch this type of review because it could be damaging to their readership and credibility as a blogger.

Bloggers before you consider writing a paid postive review, please consider how it can affect you in terms of readership and the FTC guidelines. I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from making money but the FTC is bringing bloggers and other online media under fire for not disclosing their relationship when they provide a review for a company.

Just my 2 cents.

I have a sitewide disclosure on my blogs about affiliate links and the possibility of myself getting paid if products are purchased through my links. With my blogs though, I always do honest, unbiased reviews and give my honest opinion whether I'm getting paid or not.

Hello

This sounds like some German Law to me. As far as I know if you own a blog you can do whatever you want on it as long as it is not something against the terms of hosting company. I am interested in a link more than anything, so it doesn't have to be a review but 2-3 lines about the topic and a link to my site.

I just thought I'd give you a couple of links where you can read about the new laws. Or you can simply google FTC guidelines. I am not sure how it would affect what you are looking for, but at any rate, since they were talked about, I thought I'd give you a few links to check out.

cnet - FTC to bloggers: Fess up or pay up | Digital Media - CNET News
Mashable - FTC to Fine Bloggers up to $11,000 for Not Disclosing Payments

ANY paid relationship between a product or service owner and a writer must be declared, though. There is no way around it - what you're trying to buy here is, essentially, "advertorial" services. You want a product, service, or website to be reviewed or written about, and linked to, and you're paying for that under the disguise of an editorial or informational article.

What you are really asking for is paid advertising, and the law simply requires that writers disclose that relationship transparently. It's part of making SEO better for genuine quality SERPs. I personally think that the law should apply to "old media" as well, but that's for another conversation.

I don't know what you mean by "German" law, unless you're making a distasteful commentary that falls under Godwin.

I got an offer from Sponsored Reviews the other day, and it specified that was not to be disclosed because it was not a review. I complained to the site and then answered me by saying that the client was right and that it didn't have to be disclosed because it was not a review. Am I right in thinking that is completely wrong? I don't think it has anything to do with rather it's a review or not. If it's a sponsored post, then it's a sponsored post.

If it's a sponsored post then yes it should be disclosed. I used to do PPP and in EVERY POST I had to put a blurb saying that it was sponsored by PPP or the client directly (depending on what the post's guidelines were) and that was LONG BEFORE the whole FTC crackdown thing.

Disclosing is just a way to cover your a$$ and protect you from visitors coming out of the woodwork saying they were duped by what they read on your site because you got paid to write it; that's when the FTC starts taking a closer look at advertising and advetorials on blogs. I'm putting together a new site and we'll have a "Terms of Use" page that outlines our disclosure as well as a button that will go in every paid review. I don't like advetorials so I'm trying to steer clear of them on all of the sites I own.
