It was linked in another thread today so I think that's what brought it back up. Apparently the same client is trying to solicit writers here again, so I guess this thread serves as a warning against working for her.

Ahhh, I see. It's definitely an informative read.

I was going to post this in the other thread but I think posting it hear would be better since more people will be following the link to this thread anyway.
I think anyone considering working for this person should tread carefully. Though I don't believe anyone should be judged on one experience it is also my experience that when things like this occur and are posted in the way they were within this thread that they are not one time occurances. Judging from the emails that the OP posted here and the correspondence it would seem, at least to me, that the potential for a repeat session is pretty solid. This happened back in November. Yes that is almost a year ago BUT people don't change that drastically unless someone came along later and made her really think about her words and how she talks and deals with people. Personally when I see things like this I stay as far away from applying as possible. The persons response seemed to be a bit of shock when this thread was brought up. Words and actions come back to haunt you. They just do. Again...I'm not going to apply but if someone else chooses to do so I would say do it with great caution and keep EVERY SINGLE EMAIL. Keep copies of what you have done and screenshot with a date showing if you have to to show that you did do what they asked you to do. Keep emails if you aren't paid so that you can show where you were not paid and told them you would be reposting elsewhere. Cover your butt because no one else will. Good luck to everyone on this one. |
