Default Grammarly.com - Grammar Checker/Punctuation Checker

I highly recommend Grammarly.com.

While I've been working from home and writing for the last 13+ years, I've built my online personality around my southern accent. That isn't always such a good idea - especially when it comes time to apply for new jobs, or put on the uber professional hat.

A couple of weeks ago I went looking for just this sort of thing and found Grammarly. Loved it!

I've actually been granted permission to give away several memberships if anyone would like to try it out.

If you're interested in giving it a try, reviewing the product and maybe conducting your own giveaway, give me a shout via PM here or by contacting me through my website.

With OpenOffice, I use After the Deadline, it's an OO-friendly add-on, as its grammar checker is far superior to the one that comes with OO in my opinion.

Default This one is not free, but...

This one is not free, but very helpful. It costs $20 on a month to month basis and less than that on a longer subscription. It checks for everything.

Default Update to my previous suggestion

When I use the Grammarly tool, I use the desktop download that is actually a plugin for Word.

When I create a Word document, the Grammarly icon is in the upper right corner of my page. I have the option of various writing styles from professional to casual.

Grammarly runs through a grammar check first - then it offers suggestions for enhancements that include changing up some wording to more colorful options.

Once I have the wording exactly as I want it, I then run it through the plagiarism check.

I do agree with the person who commented on it being confusing, the online version is. However, the version that automatically plugs into Word is easy-peasy

I've not written a single thing without using it in over 6 months.

Good luck
