I had heard about Open Office's grammar check a few weeks ago, so I downloaded it and tried it. But when I tested it out, it didn't flad passive voice and some other purposeful grammar mistakes I made. Do you have to download the grammar check separately? The fact that Word flags passive voice is the feature I find most helpful.

Spellchecker - Online Spell Check Form

This one looks rather nice. After traveling back and forth from my parents house to my house and since I don't have a laptop I always have to be thinking up new ways to do spell checks because the computer my parents have is very slow and I know that if I install open office that old computer might just explode..

I run all my DS articles through it, and I haven't been flagged for plagiarism yet (knock on wood). I don't know how it compares to Copyscape, because this is the only checker I've ever used.

Thanks for the recommendation for the plagarism checker. What a useful tool. It hadn't occurred to me to use that for my own work.
