Thanks Everyone who submitted! The position has been filled. I'll have more work in the near future though. Thanks, - Adam Hey Everyone - I'm looking for a writer to do some work for my company. Here's the outline and pay schedule: Description: We're looking to build a directory of current MLM opportunities on the Net. We need someone to create descriptions for each of the opportunities out there, writing 100-150 words per MLM company. Other info we'll want is: - Date company started - Main Product - Website (if any) Job: You'll research each company write a 100-150 summary of the company in your own words. I'll expect 100 done each week, but if you want to finish it quicker then that...by all means! There are close to 1500 companies we're want to get descriptions for. Payment: We'll pay $2 per record. If you're interested, please email me at amaywald @ gmail.com or send me a PM here and let's discuss. Thanks, - Adam Edited by: voasi |

Please believe me... I don't mean to criticize... but if I understand this, you want 10,000 words (a BOOK) written in ONE WEEK for $200? Or am I miscalculating? (Wouldn't be the first time.)

Yea, you're miscalculating
![]() This job, in total, will pay $3,000. It will be 1500 company descriptions at $2 a pop. |

Dee, I tend to agree with you that this is a LOT of work to do in 1 week. However, I'm glad that Adam is willing to pay a decent wage at least. If he didn't require so many to be done each week I'd be interested in this project as I have a LOT of knowledge in this area. I just can't fit this much into what I'm currently committed to doing but if you're willing to do 50 a week, I'd be interested in the job and could send you my resume.

Oh, I forgot to address the "1 week" too!
![]() It would be AWESOME to get it all in one week, but that isn't the expectation. Expectation is 100 per week, but if you'd like to do more per week, that's OK too. |

I told you I've done this before! My slogan is... We Work With Words™. Now you know why! ![]() But, yes, I think it's the 100 in a week that would be hard. I write fast, but not that fast. Good luck finding someone, Adam! If you decide you can take the pace a little slower, I'd be very interested.Edited by: DeeBishop

$2.00 / 100 words = $0.02 per word $2.00 / 150 words = $0.013 per word 100 words per description (minimum) x 100 descriptions per week = 10,000 words per week 10,000 words x .02 per word = $200 per week 1500 companies x 100 words per description = 150,000 words total 150,000 words total x $0.02 per word = $3,000 total $0.02 per word isn't too bad for such writing. When I was starting out in online writing years ago at Write for Cash, they paid between $10-$15 (depending on the writing quality) for 500-600 words. I got $15 for every article and wrote between 500-600 words, which was an average of about $0.02 per word. Of course, it's low and not the greatest pay, but it's certainly more than some places offer. Considering that Demand Studios pays about $15 per 400-500 words, that comes to about $0.03 per word, give or take a little. Still not $0.10, $0.20, or $1 per word, but it's definitely better than some online writing jobs. So, it's right around what's expected for that sort of content writing. At least it's not $2 per 500-600 word article! I've seen some of those around here before. One side note: 10,000 words would produce a very short book. According to the publishing industry, it wouldn't even be a book -- it would be a long short story or a short novelette. Flash Fiction: 100 - 1,000 words Short Story: 1,000 - 7,500 words (or up to 10,000 words) Novelette: 7,500 - 20,000 words (or up to 25,000 words) Novella: 20,000 - 50,000 words (or up to 60,000 words) Novel: 50,000 - 120,000 words (or 75,000-120,000) Epics/Sequels: 120,000+ (Sources: Fiction Factor, Suite 101, Philadelphia Writers Conference) Hope that helps!
