122 posts makes me a newbie? I find your arrogance and condecension, and rudeness very disappointing. Just because you have more posts than I do doesn't make you any better than me.

It is not the amount of posts that you have. It is the quality of the post that is posted and whether it helps out fellow writers or not.

I thank Dana for the posting and her blog. It helped me.

Nikki, I read your post and could not agree with more.

If someone has something intelligent to contribute that will help people, fine. I have seen many new people here that are here to argue and offer no intelligent conversation that can help someone.

There are not still 11 original bloggers.

The new people are barely staying on board.

Nobody, not even Sue, has earned even one cent in all that time.

The lack of professionalism is entirely on the part of the scam artists running the so-called blog network.

You mean to say that no one, NO ONE, has earned any money on this gig? You know, there are just some things that we need to figure out without being told. I don't knowanything about the website originators, but initially they seemed like really genuine, down-to-earth folks. They even let us in on a glimpse of their personal lives by showing us the picture of their new home. They shared with us how they are homeschooling and how they understand the demands and the plight of parents who work from home.

I did five initalwriting samplesin the beginning, just before we were all promoted to editors. At first I thought I was "special", but then learned that just about everybody was an editor. So much for the special.

We signed contracts, we had conference calls, we all participated in the forums, all sharing information and personal background. I just don't know what to make of all of this. I am just glad and relieved that I didn't invest any more time in it than those five initial articles, which I can use on my own blogs and websites. However, if these folks are scammers (and they are goooooood if they are), they will get all of this deceipt back, and then some. I do think, only in my opinion, that the bloggers should be seeing something, anything in the way of revenue, having been writing now for well over two months. Even in some blogging networks, you're paid revenue over traffic, albeit cents. Heck, I've even made $50 writing for Associated Content over a year ago and I only have like three articles posted. Sweat equity? No thanks. Show me you appreciate me by giving me something. Share that pie with ME too.

Amen, Bridget!

Oh yeah, what happened to that supposed $5/post argument? Andrea and I argued that they first offered $5-$25 a post PLUS profit sharing. They left that out when they offered us editor positions and changed it to 60% commission but a few came back here and said that they HAD clarified and were offering $5 a post and suggested maybe some of us hadn't bothered reading our offers. Hmm.

For a few months of work, shouldn't everyone have had a few hundred bucks by now out of their budgets? Why hasn't anyone been paid the promised rate yet?

Well, it's possible that the two at the top have made a few dollars, but honestly, they didn't even know how to monetize blogs so their main income will likely be from selling the blogging class and perhaps flipping a blog network.

My own personal blogs, badly neglected over the past few months, made more in Adsense and Amazon earnings than the whole network in the same amount of time, if the numbers they gave us are correct, not to mention my residual income from other sources as well as good old content article writing for hire.

I simply regret the amount of time I wasted.

On to bigger and better things!

Dana,

They later changed it, saying we were blog managers and would earn 60% of our blogs' revenue. We never saw any up-front money for our posts.

Like I said, nobody has received even one plug nickel.

All I will say to any of this is that please remember there are two sides to everything. You don't know what happened on another board or boards. Some of us do.

Now, having said that, I will also say that this is human nature. I always tend to take things with a grain of salt. Having worked in HR for years, I probably look at a lot of things differently that I would otherwise. LOL.

And as for the owners of the network...my opinion has never changed, because I have met them personally. And I have been in the house that they showed a picture of...it is real. And they are very down-to-earth. I am defending them because they are my friends. Just as I would defend a lot of you and have in the past, whether you know it or not. That is who I am...

I don't think anyone is really calling them scammers. Maybe they didn't realize how hard it was going to be, or that they would have to do something to keep people on board that they had not thought of. Running one website is really hard and a network of sites would be harder still.

We just have to look out for us. We have bills and kids and things that need to be taken care of on our own. Things have gotten tough, at least for me and my family. I need to spend time on the things that are going to pay me every month or week or whatever. I just can't afford to waste time on things that are not going to show profit right away. It's just not something that I can do right now.

Good luck to you and I hope that it works for you and what you need in life.

I find it strangely odd, in a weird, funny sort of way, that you never mentioned this in the past three months.
