Okay, I don't know if I can post the e-mail on here or not but I needed some advice about it because a part of me is thinking that there is something wrong with it. The e-mail address is not one that I have sent inqueries to for a job but not sure if maybe they received an inquery from me but then responded with a different e-mail. Anyway, can I post the e-mail I received or is that just wrong?

I am sure you can post it as long as you delete any personal information. Others have posted emails in other folders, so I don't see why you couldn't.

Thanks! Well here it is: Hi! Thanks for your interest. I will outline a couple basics with you on how we pay, and what sort of things we do. Firstly, we do many various articles, ranging from seasonal, to SEO, to car insurance and mortgage rates! Almost all of the work is either UK, or US. You must be able, and comfortable, with the use of both UK and US English. Most of your wordprocessing programs have a feature for spellchecking both versions. Secondly, almost every article I need written is between 300-500 words. Pay varies, based on amount of words in an article. Thirdly, Not to sound mean, or rude, but I need writers who are able to produce a minimum of 10 articles per day. It's really nowhere near as difficult as it sounds, I began as a mere writer myself, and I never ask a writer to manage something I cannot do. And lastly, the question you're most curious about: Pay Scale-- * 300 words (average) $1.75 * 500 words (average) $2.50 * 500 word 12 hour turn-around (average) $3.00 These pay amounts often vary around .50 cents, almost always upwards, and rarely less. The lowest paid article I have ever written, or will ever ask someone to write, is a 'blurb' of 200-250 words for $1.25. Now I know there are some prima donnas, who believe this pay is below them, and that is fine. Odds are high that in another 3 months, you will still be searching for paid work. On the most part though, most people are quite happy with this reasonable pay scale. And always, dependable, good writers WILL see an increase in pay in a short time period, primarily based on dependable, sturdy articles.

Umm yeah, that pay sucks. I guess in the eyes of whomever sent you that email, I am a prima donna!

I guess I'm a prima donna - that is insanly low. If it doesn't require ANY research and is a fun topic, then that might be different, but this doesn't seem to be that easy. If you do 10 articles for $1.75 that is $17.75 a day. It will probably take you 3-4 hours to write, so for ME, not a chance!

Yeah, that is low, it's probably not even minimum wage. I doubt it's a scam, though. Scam artists usually lie about things, so they'd want the "opportunity" to sound attractive to encourage more replies. You'll get paid for your work, just not very much.
I also don't like how the person referred to himself as once "a mere writer." Yeah, and I go to a "mere doctor," you know- someone who doesn't have an inheritance and has to probe people's body parts for a living and have people cough and sneeze all over them, sometimes even bleed too! |

LOL! Thanks girls...

N"ow I know there are some prima donnas, who believe this pay is below
them, and that is fine. Odds are high that in another 3 months, you will still be searching for paid work" THIS IS COMPLETE BULLSH!T Yeah, um, I took crap jobs like that the first month I worked in freelance, but by three months I was REGULARLY TURNING DOWN JOBS! Yeah, we're all looking for work. Hell, I look for work 2 hours a day! But that doesn't mean I'm looking for 1.25 jobs!
