I always recommend www.odesk.com, the company I work for hires writers there all the time.

VWorker is a good site to find work and clients. There are also lots of blogs and other sites that will pay you to write for them. I cannot put in links yet, but if you look at My Write and Get Paid page on Facebook, you should find my latest post about guest blogging for money.

All this information is new to me. Usually I look at customer service jobs but with a toddler I am not able to be on the phone as usually it has to be quiet. What should I look for in a writing job? How do i know if it is legit?

You could add TextBroker.com as a place to write articles and earn money too.
