Default Template Issue... Need Help

Hello fellow bloggers! I have a formatting problem on one of my blogs and wonder if anyone has an idea of what I might need to do to correct the problem.

If you look at my homeschooling blog (link is in my sig line) the background is off. Once the page completely loads, there is a break in the vertical lines reading "Life is Beautiful" just where the header and body come together.

Another issue I'm dealing with is that my page tabs look horrible in Explorer. In Firefox all is good, but in Explorer they don't lay nicely.

If anyone has suggestions for fixing my blogging headaches, let me know?

TIA!
~Wendy

The page tabs are what is causing the break in the theme design that you see in IE.

Everything looks perfect to me in FF but I'm running 5.0 I think. Not the newest version.

I can't remember, does Blogger let you add two navigation/menu bars so you could customize them separately? It looks like it doesn't like to wrap to a second line.

As far as I know, I can't list two lines of pages separately on a Blogger template. Good to know what's causing the issue though! Maybe I can find a Blogger hack online or just upload a completely different template.

Thanks so much for letting me know what I need to focus on. I'd love to either figure out how to do the parent and children tabs on a blogger blog, or have a separate line of tabs... perhaps one above the header.

If the area currently listing your pages is the Linkbar, below that use the Add a Gadget feature and select Pages. That will make a second row of tabs for you easily. Delete what you don't want in the Linkbar and reassign to the Pages gadget.

Deselect the "automatically add new pages when they are published" check box so that only the pages you want show up in the bar get published there giving you control of how many tabs so you don't encounter the same problem again.

Hope that helps.

I'm currently using the page feature (not the link feature), so not sure that will help. I've even brought my pages down to one line, rather than two and in Firefox I'm still getting the break.

Mystery continues! lol

I guess that means the linkbar is not standard on all themes. Ugh, I feel your pain.

Tired of thinking about what to do and just decided to make my background static. Not my preference, but I think the slipping background issue has been resolved!
