I use both Hubpages and Squidoo. Squidoo seems to be far more confusing. I still don't fully get Squidoo. Basically once you have created an account, you click Create a Lens to write your first article. They have modules on the right that you can use to add more text sections, Amazon products, pictures, etc. If I remember correctly, you have to have 5 modules before you publish a lens. You should divide each lens with multiple text modules, so each one can have a heading. Hopefully this helps a little.

Squidoo is a publishing platform for articles. It's a bit more social than other similar websites and has a very user-friendly interface.

It is possible to earn money from Squidoo but how much you can make varies greatly and there's much better ways to make money. It's great for building links though.

Hope this help!

Squidoo is a user generated content site where it is free to write articles. You can use the articles to gain affiliate sales, drive traffic to other sites, and gain backlinks for other sites.

It has so many options that it can seem confusing. The community there is very helpful, though.

Hubpages and Wizzley are much simpler to use because they have fewer frills. They also load much faster.

I write on all 3, BTW.

Just look deep and you'll find all you need. If you still can't figure it out then try to Google "How to use Squidoo" and I'm sure you'll get a lot of resources to solve your problem. I hope this helps.

It's supposed to be a good way to send traffic to your moneymaking websites. I think, however, the "success" of this kind of depends on your topic in the "cluster of articles" you write.

For instance, I don't see anyone hitting my sites if I write a cluster of articles on "mussels of North Texas" because not that many people go hunting for information on the kinds of clams you find around here. Other topics (like "make money online") are overrepresented.

I think that if you can't figure it out, don't worry about it and focus your energy on something else!

My focus is on my websites, but I have had a lot of success with Squidoo also. It is really easy once you get the hang of it.

And it is ultra easy to make money from it if you pick the right niches and choose the right keywords.

The key is to pick low competition keywords and it helps to make lenses in groups.

It's not really that hard. Here is a site that can be helpful: Directory of Squidoo Help and Tutorials It's fun once you get the hang of it. I have two lenses with squidoo and I am having lots of fun with them.

I have a couple of lens going and I think it's kinda fun. The community is very active! I haven't started making money yet, but right now I'm still trying to get it all figured out.

Squidoo can rank very high. I was searching for info about solar energy one day and the number one result for "homemade solar panels" was a Squidoo lens.

That particular lens, and others like it, are out ranking many other sites. So it can be a good way to market something I think.

I just put 4 pages up (nothing as competitive as solar) and will see how long it takes for me to rank on the first page. If at all.
