I do product reviews on my blog. If it's a product I can use I'll consider reviewing it. If not I have a team of writers who do reviews on my blog and it might be a good fit for them. I'm also on a private forum where we share pitches and ideas and I could post it there for someone to contact you if they're interested in reviewing your product.
To send me a pitch about your product go to What's That Buzz in my signature and look for the "Contact Us" link in the menu bar. Fill out the form and submit it. Not all products submitted for review are a good fit for my family or my blog so no guarantees but I will get the word out to other review bloggers. One thing to keep in mind though, a lot of review bloggers have a minimum $ amount they'll review so if a product only retails for $2 you may have to send more than one to come up to that amount. Most set the minimum at $25 but might do it for a $10 product if it's really awesome. For most (myself included) review items are not returned and not all reviews are guaranteed to be favorable but myself, if I can't say anything positive about the product I will let the company/rep know before I post and often times I'm asked not to post anything. The reason for a minimum $ amount of a review product is the work involved. The reviewer has to use the product in their daily lives which can take 2-4 weeks. Most will take photos of the product and of the product in use. They then have to formulate the review and write it up, adding photos and links. Then once the post is written they read for typos and edit as needed. Once the post goes live it gets sent out to Twitter, Facebook (often times both a personal and professional page). With the growing popularity of Google + it gets sent there and then to the company/PR rep. If there's a giveaway involved with the review then that has to be set up, the winner is chosen, usually via rafflecopter or Random.org or some other random interger generator. The winning entry is verified as well as making sure the winner did in fact complete the mandatory entry. The winner is notified with a congratulations and instructed to respond within a certain amount of time and provide their full name and address. That is sent to the company/PR rep. f all goes smoothly that's the end of it but once in a while there's a problem. The winner doesn't respond you need decide if you'll email them again or pick another winner. Either way it's another couple of days of waiting. If you pick a new winner there's a chance the original winner will now notify you and you've got to send the "sorry, but the rules state..." email back. Once the winner's info is sent to the company/PR rep you hope the product gets sent out but once in a while it gets lost, the rep was overwhelmed and forgot to get it sent, the company overlooked it. Even though the rules clearly state to allow 8 weeks to receive the winning product you usually get someone contacting after a week that the product didn't arrive. Not wanting to come across as rude you reply that they need to allow 8 weeks but you will get the random winner that emails weekly. After the 8 weeks and once in a while several months later you may get an email that the product wasn't received. You now need to find the company/PR rep's email address and notify them to find out what happened and hopefully everything will get resolved. So, as you can see there's a lot of work involved in a product review and even more in running a giveaway and to most bloggers, their blog is their job and their time is money.
