Not totally sure if this is what you're looking for, but if HostGator has a control panel that allows you to install WordPress, that is an easy system to use. WP was initially designed for blogging, but you can make use it as a standard website, and have the blog as just another page.
There are many free WordPress themes, or you could use a custom one, but of course, those will cost money. You can also add free plugins that will set up Facebook, Twitter, and other social media buttons. A quick search revealed this resource page for HostGator, with links to WP tuturials: Web Hosting Video Tutorials Provided by HostGator.com For your monthly plan items, I'm assuming those companies provide script that you can insert into a page. |

I think the best thing you could do is just go with Wordpress for the whole site. You can set up the main page to be all about your business and then have blog posts be on another "tab" (I could help you with this). You could also set up a subdomain (such as blog.yourdomain.com) for the blog and use the original domain as your website.
If you need help, let me know. I can help you to some degree for free but if you want a lot of help, I do Wordpress installs through Fiverr (see my signature line) and I could also work something out to set up your whole site (including graphics) if you would like.
