is to go with WordPress.

I recently helped a lady who knew nothing about websites, get her site up and live in one day.

Then she made the edits and changes to give it the feel and design she wanted and in just a couple of weeks had a great looking site.

Most of this you can do with little to no cost involved.

But in most cases...you'll need to buy a domain...about $10 bucks per Year and get good reliable hosting for your website...another $10 a month...

Building website have gotten really easy...and if you want to know more...contact me or check out some of the Free training at my site.

Hope this helps you.
This is something I'm looking for. I'm a work at home mom doing basically writing and other stuff. Wanna learn putting up a website. I've tried wordpress but I wanna learn how to customize it and other more technical stuff including designs, templates, etc. Any help will be appreciated. -Jen

I am self taught, and have run a web design business for ten years. It grew out of a hobby into a job!

I am in my last few months for a Bachelors Degree in Web design/Development. Before this, I was mostly self taught. Even with learning in class, there are a lot of things you have to teach yourself since technology is ever changing. To supplement my school work, I use sites like lynda.com, Creative Edge, and www.learnable.com/membership . These all cost a monthly or yearly membership but nothing over $25. I would browse the sites and see which one has all the courses I want and sign up to that one. I have a membership to lynda and creative edge. I tried out learnable a few months back when they were having a $7 a month for 3 month special. Its also good if your wanting to learn CSS/CSS3 HTML/HTML5 and javascript etc, but they have about 10 class teaching the same thing so not worth the $17 a month IMO. Lynda and Creative edge have hours of video courses and not only shows coding practicing but also how to use software like Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc. Also Tuts+ is a good one they used to be the cheapest but now they are like $19.99 a month. They offer free tutorials and premium ones in either video format or written with screenshots along with the tutorial files. I hope this post is helpful

Default Website design

It is very easy to build websites if you have an apple computer. Use iWeb. Also word press is very user friendly. I have used both.
