Default Web graphics - how do you learn to do them?

I love the country web graphics and was wondering how people learn this skill? Is there a site you can learn from. Someone told me you use software to create the graphics. Can anyone tell me, I want to learn and show my son how to do this as well. Thanks!

Well the best program to make web graphics for me is photoshop, you can find a big collection of free tutorials how to use it even on youtube there are videos that show you how. There are however free programs you can use as well like GIMP. It depends your level. Good luck

Thanks I will check that out. I've heard of using paint program too. Do you just blow up the image alot to make them? I've searched online but didn't know where to start.

Just Google it, place videos and tutorials in your search... There are too many out there to list.

Best Wishes

That's exactly what I do. I search for the program I want to use (usually Photoshop) followed by the technique I want to use, then the word 'tutorial'

Thanks for your help but I mean creating little picture graphics like the primitive clipart and country clipart or web graphics. I think it's a paint program or something like that. I'm wondering if you can just use your paint program that comes with windows. When I search web graphics tutorials I get site more for flash, and web design. Hope that makes more sense.

Well Microsoft paint is a bit primitive, there is an other free program called "Paint (dot)net" it is some what half way between MS paint and Photoshop. Just google it ;-)

making web graphics and copying other peoples graphics to make your own is quite different. make sure you're not stealing someone else's clipart while doing it. I've seen people who used Gimp all the time & were using other peoples' stuff... not really creating their own! Just don't want to get yourself into trouble...

There's PAINT SHOP PRO, that's popular, or ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR & PHOTOSHOP, these are easier to use if you' ve taken a course because there's so many tools and little info included with the programs when you buy them, so like mentioned before, you CAN try to learn from online turtorials if you have lots of time & patience But don't be discouraged if you spend a couple hours and don't accomplish a whole lot at first! Trust me, but once you figure it out your creativity can be endless with those programs... there's also Corel Draw, and many others. Search online, photoshop and Corel and PaintShop Pro all have free 2 week trials that you can get a taste of them & see which program you prefer before making a purchase...

Adobe photoshop is what u need. you can do many things with it. it gets easier as you practice.

Maybe publisher or maybe paint will work if you dont want to spend the money.

I really like Macromedia Fireworks. It's really intuitive to use and was created specifically for web graphics.

I could never quite figure out Photoshop.
