How hard would it be to create a template like iCarly.com? Not all the stuff they had but the design? Curious, love all the bold colors.

I honestly think it just depends on the designer and their experience.

The best thing you can do, which I find myself doing often, is studying the websites' code/html.

You learn a lot from it.

It's like they say paintings are all about the brushstrokes, a website is all about the code/html.

Except chunks of their web site are in Flash, so there's not a good way to study that. I'd be surprised if they spent less than $5000 on their website, but honestly I'd be willing to guess (from someone who has worked in the commercial web development sector on big sites like this) they spent $20k+ for the entire site. If you just want a design, with static graphics and no flash or anything, a good designer should quote you $400-$500 for the template.

I agree. A similar template would cost a few hundred dollars. I would definitely suggest not going with all that flash either.
