Use Square! It uses a little attachment on your ph to take credit cards. The attachment is free, no monthly service, or set up fees. Just 2.7% processing, which I'm happy to pay. Because customers buy more when using a card, they like that their card number isn't written down somewhere , where it can be forgotten or lost and then abused.
Just my thoughts.

I agree with Square! I got my team to use it and they are loving it especially at events, vendors or when you're doing cash and carry. Just my 2 cents.

I could not get a Square for some reason, so I am using Intuit's mobile device. It's similar to the Square.

I LOVE all this techy stuff. I was wondering how well the square worked. I guess how fast it is depends on your cell signal?

Confession: I'd never heard of Square. But I'm Canadian and it's not available here so maybe I can be forgiven. I'll definitely be looking for updates on its availability here. Now I just have to figure out which iPad to get and I'll be good to go in new and neat ways.

Default Square Up vs ProPay

I just canceled my ProPay account today after having it for 1 year, I have been using Sqaure Up for the last few months, and love it so far.

Square Up has no annual fee
ProPay annual starts at $29.95

Square Up charges 2.75% per transaction on every card, Propay charges 2.95% plus .30¢ on visa and mastercard but even more on disc and am ex.

PropPay charges 25¢ to transfer money to you bank account and that tool 7 days,
Square up charges nothing for tranferring your own money to your bank account, which they do every night except Saturday Nights. It took 3 business days for mine to reach my bank.

You can get the square up card slider for free from www.squareup.com, or get it for 7.99 from most radio shacks. when you purchase it square up will put 10.00 in your bank account.

I can process phone orders with my phone, and so far so good.

I agree with the square. I l ove that I can take it anywhere with me as long as I have my phone. They will also send you a little slider that you can attach to your phone and put in the headset spot and can actually slide the card through and not have to input numbers. The customer can sign their name on your screen with their finger! The fees are reasonable as well. It does take a day or two to deposit to your account but the money is automatically there I believe in reserve for you in your account with them. LOVE it!

Oh My. I've been using Propay for a while. Hmmm. Does anyone know if Square Up allows you to transfer money to another person's Square Up account? Also - do they provide a mastercard or visa card for access to your funds? These are things I use with Propay that are semi-important to me. Anyone know?
