What the heck? I have seen 3 or 4 consultants switch companies in the last 2 weeks like 2 times each one of which I was seriously going to join and she disapeared? How does anyone expect to build longevity if you always change? That doesn't speak good about your reputation if you always jump to the next new thing. Ok change is good but come on now?
I think this whole party plan home business idea is just getting out of control. I want to join someone who is going to be in it for the long haul as well....wow. I'm in awe... Last edited by avonlady916; 02-08-2012 at 09:54 AM. |

You're absolutely right, Kristen. I've noticed the same thing.

Kristen, I too am amazed at the company hopping I see. Most people think the next new thing is better but failed to realize you have to work the business and it takes time. Everyone wants instant success and if it doesn't happen immediately, it must be the company. Wrong - it's you!
I've been with my company since 2004 and know this is where I will stay. I hope you find the right opportunity and leader for you.

I have noticed it too and I am always fascinated by it, I think they must have very supportive significant others, my husband would have a fit if I kept changing companies!

Im glad I'm not the only one! I just think about all that inventory they must have and what to do with it. I also wonder what family and friends think when they ask to buy product every other week? Myself, when I switched from Jpbl to Silpada not too many came to my party. I certainly understand wanting the very best company and I totally support start ups people just have to pick one or two if you have time and hit it hard! You will find 90 percent of truly successful reps/ consultants have been with their company for more than 2 years.

I am currently with two new companies. bcharmed & Perfectly Posh. I am frontline to both companies and still going strong, as I love them both. I had a serious injury in May, so I no longer could work. I looked into direct sales to bring in some income and work out of my home. I have no desire or plans to change companies. I want to build up my customers and I have invested money in products to show, so I definitely don't want to chalk that up to a loss. I do know that switching companies constantly has been going on for many years. You may not see it out in the field but you do on forums that's for sure.

I am all for finding the one you really want, and I do understand it is a process and it isn't even me anyone owns an explanation to I'm just curious over all, why? I mean, how can anyone develop trust in their upline if you're jumping.
Prior to that in the 90's I was in Arbonne and really LOVED Arbonne. Still do but after Petter died it changed and it's not the same. Now Rita is gone and all the girls that were there when I joined are still there!!! I remember the beginning of it all and now those ladies are making millions, literally. Donna Johnson, Cecilia Stoll, Martha McIntyre etc...so many of them and the one thing they did when times got so hard they stayed and built anyway. We were getting huge opposition from all the Mary Kay gals (Mary Kay don't play!) Those women are for real at least in Detroit where I am from. They were Suited and Cadillacked out and were such a force of unity! (no disrespect please, just a fact They owned the cosmetic world and rightfully so they had a business plan that worked and women stayed with it and built their businesses. Many of my single mom friends joined Mary Kay and are now managers/directors and it paid off. Jafra was another one but definitely more Mary Kay, even my mom still uses it. Makes me nervous moving forward but 1 company I am looking at I don't think my gal is going anywhere and this little candle company I like my girl seems pretty solid. Anyway my thought was how are these ladies building anything substantial? What happens to your customers after you switch? What happens to your downline? What happens to your hostesses? |

well....first, people shouldn't judge why people switch companies. If a person switches it is most likely because the company wasn't the right fit. We don't always know that until we take the leap of faith and start the business process.
Why should a person keep pouring money into inventory and business supplies when they know in their heart it isn't the right company. I have seen people try 3 or 4 products/businesses until they finally find the right one. We should all be so lucky to find the right fit the first time. I wish you all the best!!! |
