I'm interested in hearing from others about this, as well. Did any of you have to go through SEVERAL direct sales companies before you found the perfect fit? Did that affect your credibility with friends and family? In other words, when you finally made the choice to stay with a company, did they think "Oh geez, she's starting another venture!" and did that keep them from initially doing business with you in the event you made yet ANOTHER switch?

In my case, I've joined a few, but mostly for the discount. Luckily I didn't work them (not even as a hobbie), so I wasn't looking for parties, and asking the same people - they just weren't asked. I pulled apart kits, programs, comp plan, training, support, etc., and never truly settled on one to work as a business until Tastefully Simple. I had to find the right fit for ME - program, products, company, comp plan, training, support, etc. So now I'm working and very happy!
![]() My answers: 1. What drew you to your product line and/or company? I love the products and use them myself. 2. Is your excitement level still at a high if you are with your company for over a year or so? Yes 3. How do you keep yourself motivated? I read a lot of books in the industry, and a lot of personal development books. 4. Would you say you'd still buy your product if you weren't a consultant? Absolutely. I started as a customer, and joined for the business! Last edited by gkoinski; 12-09-2011 at 01:09 PM. |

I became a believer when I was able to walk away from my full time job within my first year! Ive been with my company for 5 years now, and 4 of those years have been at HOME.
Now that is proof! I am loving this! Bonnie |

I knew I joined the right company for several reasons:
1. When I sold over $1,000 in my first week. Then I did it again and again. 2. When I looked at my calendar and was holding 2 parties a week and doing a holiday show on the weekend. 3. When I was just as excited about my parties and product as my hostess was. 4. My hostess was calling me to work the parties. 5. When guests at the parties were asking me how they become a rep. because it looks like so much fun. 6. Because everyone is amazed with my product! I love what I do, do you? katieoblisk@gmail.com Katie Oblisk Miche Bag Rep.

Hi Gina!!
So happy to see you found a fit!! I took a huge leap of faith going with Private Quarters when the opportunity came my way. They are practically unknown from where I am from and never saw the products before. As some of you know my previous company that I had been with for 5 years went under and closed their doors. I practically did a 180 and went from spa products & skin care to bed & bath linens. They really are more related than at first glance but the nice thing is that people LOVE soft, comfy things! It still amazes me how well it has taken off! Maybe I needed that spark lit under me by having a company that I really loved close down so suddenly and without warning. Sure it could happen again (it can happen to anyone at anytime) but I don't want to ever feel that it was my lack of effort that contributed to the company's demise. So, here I am 3 months later and about ready to promote to Group Leader. I will reach my income goal that I had with my previous company at the end of this month so it is time to start setting higher goals now! 1. What drew you to your product line and/or company? I loved everything I saw in the catalog. We recently moved into a newer, bigger house and many things need to be done decorating wise. I just saw our home furnished with PQ and that drew me to look more into the company. 2. Is your excitement level still at a high if you are with your company for over a year or so? Well, it has only been 3 months but I can't be more excited about where I will be in a year! 3. How do you keep yourself motivated? I know it takes hard work to achieve things and I really want to set a great example for my kids. I also have team members who look up to me for advice and answers. 4. Would you say you'd still buy your product if you weren't a consultant? Abso-freaking-lutely!

Monica, I am so thrilled for you! I'll PM you my address if you will send me a catalog. There isn't anyone around me, and I'd love to see what they have.
Thanks! |

I too, have done several direct selling companies, but have to say it hasn't hurt my credibility with my current company one bit! I knew I had picked the right company when I made money! And, when my customers told me they couldn't wait until the next season to book their shows. It also helps when you absolutely love your product and represent a clothing designer!
I just renewed for next season and can not wait for February!

When I tasted our Hot FudgePudding Cake....
I really love our products and I use them nearly every day. I'm excited about our company and have reached our highest recruiting level in less than 4 months just by sharing my excitement. I'm really looking towards the future of Country Gourmet as we will soon be expanding our earning levels and I already have a large team in place to succeed with. |

1. What drew you to your product line and/or company? I have to say God put this product line in my life, because it was the oddest coincedence ever. I LOVE the products they are truly the best on the market and spreading like wild fire!
2. Is your excitement level still at a high if you are with your company for over a year or so? It's only been 34 days so I can't even imagine my excitement level in a year!! I am already expecting very large commission checks and tons of free products!! 3. How do you keep yourself motivated? I work with everyone in the company and have the products all around my home and love how my home smells! It is amazing to share this opportunity with others!! 4. Would you say you'd still buy your product if you weren't a consultant? I definitely would be buying these products because they are better than anything I have ever experienced! Signing up with Pink Zebra was the best decision I ever made and it took me several weeks to decide that I wanted to do it. I just couldn't get it out of my head. At the time I was with another company with downline and a large customer base, but for some reason I just knew this was for me! I have not looked back but only forward every day and on my 34th day I have a downline of 7 recruits already and commission checks on their way!! This is so amazing and I can't wait to go forward from here!!
