I understand, but it felt strange to me. She said that the kit came wilth one less shell due to the price increase and that I would have to pay the difference. Seems like shady practice to me. I'm glad I got out if that deal on the end. A company shouldnt be raising prices in this economy, lol! Best of luck to you. And thank you.

It IS hard to deal with rising costs in this economy, but they are a reality.

Several companies have gone out of business because they didn't or felt they couldn't increase prices. I'm sorry that your distributor wasn't aware enough of the price increase to explain it going in. Unfortunately, costs are going up, and companies have been sheltering consultants and letting it cut into their profits, but that isn't sustainable long-term. Nearly all companies sell starter kits at either a loss or at the company's cost. They are an amazing deal.

The company I represent had to raise shipping charges this year - from $4 to $5. It was well-communicated and made sense, given shipping costs today.

But no one expects a price increase AFTER they have purchased the product.

Agreed. It sounded like her paperwork didn't get into the company before the deadline or the distributor miscommunicated what was in the kit.

I think the distributor should have just taken out the extra shell instead of trying to charge more, but I don't have to deal with those kinds of things with my company as our kits are prepared and shipped by the company.

Jandamom. That was exactly my thought. Walmart can't call you two days after shopping and tell you to bring them some more money, threes been a price increase lol. I think miche us a good idea and I think that after their restructuring they might be a great company to represent. But for now, I'm going to stay away.
