Default What is the missing factor? It is not more training

You have all these gurus teaching strategies of success, but knowing how to do something is only 20% of your success 80% is the motivation for you to actually put these things into action.

Gary Halbert said years ago he send out blank audio tapes (He wanted to sell the product but had not finished the info product) only 10% said anything so he said sorry we will get those right out to you and for your trouble I will send you this special bonus tape too.

So approx. 90% of people never did a thing. Venture capitalist who are business investors who invest 100’s of 1,000 to millionaires of dollars into new start up business.

Venture capitalist have a ratio of 2% they only expect to make money on 2% of the businesses they invest in because they know most will not follow through just like us people who start business.

What do you think you can do to motivate a person to action (please share)

Respectfully,
Chris Brown

A person is either motivated or not. As a business person, I don't waste my time on those who lack motivation. Does every normal human being need a little boost? Sure, but not everyone has motivation. They may not know their "WHY" or they may simply be complacent.

I think you can give people the tools, training, support, guides, how-tos, the top "mlm guru's" phone numbers, free network marketing seminar tickets, access to the top feeder program in the world, coaching from best network marketer who's a diamond gold prestigious level 10 rockstar platinum leader, blah, blah, blah all on a silver platter...

But it comes down to that person. It's all about self-motivation. You either have it or you don't.

We can't motivate people... But I feel we can influence. It's all internal.

I agree that we cannot motivate those who are not self-motivated. However, I do believe we can inspire people to work. By setting a good example, we can lead by inspiration. For those with no motivation, this will serve no purpose. For those who are willing to work, but perhaps they've lost their way, inspiration may give them the boost they need.

I think all you can do is offer a person an opportunity and let them take it from there. One thing I do hate is bring someone into the business and they don't do anything even to the extent of making their initial sum back. I feel they could have done something else more constructive with that money.

If someone is motivated they will engage in the business and if not recruit someone else. I have found out people will do what they want to do.. All of the heavy hitters I have spoken to have all basically said work with the willing. "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink".

For some the best motivator for them is their first check.
