Default Big money in MLM

Here's something I have always wonder about. I assume we don't hear about the wealth of owners because many MLM companies are not public companies. Yet i try to look at the Forbes top 400 on a regular basis to see what industries are represented. The Richest People in America List - Forbes

After all the years and all the different companies listed I just have not seen too many MLM companies represented. I'm not saying people can't make good money within a MLM company because I'm sure many people build a MLM business and have other outside investments and live a very comfortable life but as a whole I just don't see much industry representation.

Just an observation..

Most MLM companies focus on recruiting which is only about 100 Billion dollar industry. Now most of the MLM companies are in the health industry which is a 400 Billion dollar industry so when owners have their team focus on recruiting they lose most of their market

Gold Silver coins $100Billion yr industry
Coffee $100 Billion yr industry
Travel $7 Trillion yr industry

I believe MLM owners could if they changed their focus

Default Forbes 400 not the bible of who is REALLY wealthy

If you ever read the book "The Millionaire Next Door" you would realize that there are tens of thousands of VERY WEALTHY people out there who are happy to be under the radar.

I don't think it is that MLM companies aren't making millionaires out of their owners, I just think that they tend to be very down to earth and keep a low profile.

MonaVie has surpassed 1 Billion Dollars in sales and is poised to get to 5 Billion in less than the next 5 years. I would think that there must be some profit in there for the founders.

Avon did over 12 Billion in sales in one year, Amway, Mary Kay, the list could go on and on.

I read someplace that some of the Forbes 400 inflate their net worth to make the list. Talk about egos!!!

I understand there are thousands of rich people in MLM but being wealthy is another level. Just as some in Forbes may inflate so can companies inflate sales and sales projections.

I'm not bashing MLM or questioning any company. I'm just saying hmmmm. Companies are quick to say earn a six figure income or run someone across the stage so why not be listed with the big boys if in that league?

This is a very interesting topic. A lot MLM's do actually work and are not scams, you just have to be committed to treat it like a 9-5 job and work at it tirelessly. People d tend to become easily frustrated when things are not working out for them, but that's why you have to scoop it out first and see if it is right for you.

We've got an MLM in the UK called Utilities Warehouse. I actually know a couple of people that do this and have made some money but it really is a borderline pyramid scheme!

I think MLM has received a lot of bad press but that's because a lot of scammers are using it to hide the real scam behind it all. Of course, not all MLM schemes are scams. There are some genuine ones out there.

I kind of look at it like this. The way things are promoted in MLM if someone was up there in the Billion Dollar range they would promote it. Then again as I may have mentioned I'm sure many of the people on the list have other investments which allows them to be where they are. Because When Art Williams was listed I think at that time he had a large chunk of Ctit stock but wasn't tied to his former company.

Let me say it again yes people in MLM do make some great incomes and do become very rich but after all these years and the master comp. plans one would think a few would be up there.. I'm just posting some of the thoughts others might be having.

I'm not knocking MLM or any company because I believe in the MLM compensation concept but I also know there are certain truths like in sales especially in MLM most people are going to quit. Most people say they want financial independence but maybe not bad enough to go for it. Regardless of what we may hear most people want to quit everyday but then there's the other side.

The people who have made it to financial independence say if they knew how great it was to be financially independent they would have paid double the price they paid. That's the type of people we should look for if the goal is financial independence. People who are sick and tired of being sick and tired but when the going gets tough they shake it off and keep going when most others will quit or move on in hopes of finding the easy pot of gold.

Not to write a book but for those who have been following the Republican debates something you should take note of is Mitt Romney. People talk about how he made his money but the hidden gem is his money is paying him it's been said $54,000 a day. That's if he decides to get out of bed or not and when he goes to his maker the system is in place to keep the money flowing to his next generation.

Now consider if you built a good producing business of producers who were providing you with a very decent monthly income whether you get out of bed or not.. So take your business serious and build with the serious. The stakes are high. That's why I say at the end of the day it all comes down to your individual business decision and long term planing.

Plan your business for today and tomorrow. Romney and others with real money do it. In many of the books we read they say do as the rich do..

Just some observations which of course I could be way out to lunch.
