Cool Facebook for your business

Lately, I've bumped into some people who are either not on Facebook or refuse to use it for their business. I have to admit that I was one of those when I first started in the industry. Now I realize how much $$$ you are leaving on the table if you fail to utilize social media. I work almost 100% on Facebook and generate free leads daily. They've also been the best leads I've had so far. I teach my team how to duplicate the process and generate free quality leads, as well.

Another thing I've noticed is that people are also making two Facebook profiles. One for business and one that's "personal". Again, this was me BEFORE! Now I realize how crucial it is to have just one. I've actually posted some of my webinars for my business friends, but because I have my personal friends/family on my list, I've inadvertently ended up generating leads/business with them as well.

What is your feedback, everyone?

I use pages and groups for business. I try to keep my personal page separate. I like having some separation. You also run the risk of Facebook taking down your personal page if you use it for business.

I may mention my business as it connects with my personal daily activity but for the most part the business information goes on my page.

DeeAmber, I agree with you. FaceBook has been crucial for generating leads for my HBB. I am able to reach all of my acquaintances, good friends, family and other HBBOs through FaceBook. You never know who will be interested in your business.

Agreed. When Used correctly, Facebook is a great place to build relationships, which lead to leads.

Also good point... Don't open a new Facebook account for your business. Facebook wants you to use a page or group for that.

I've created a separate page for my business as well. I invited most of my Facebook friends to the page, and not everyone has "liked" the business page, so that tells me it's best to keep the two (personal and business) pages seperate. If I reach some business milestone I might announce it on my personal page, but for the most part all the business stuff stays on the business page.

Hi,

Social networking sites are used for making friends, joining relevant group and making strong marketing strategies. It gives you information about experience and feedback's of your target market. It brings you closer to the people who require your website, products, and line of business the most. On the other hand social bookmarking is process where you can save your links and view your website links to public.

Thanks

I agree that Facebook is very powerful for business and is a great tool for generating daily leads. I use it for mine and have had a lot of success getting leads through it. I also separate my personal/business account though. I just prefer it that way. :-)

I do agree that businesses who refuse to use social media basically have their heads in the sand. This is the wave of the future, and it's essentially free advertising!

As for me, I use my personal page for both business and personal. I have created lists which allow me to control who sees what, such as photos. I also do not post blatant ads on my fb page, as that is really not what it's there for. FB is about building relationships and reconnecting with people. Occasionally, if I have a business related post, I might get some interest from my friends list.

I do have a FB page as well, but that is not a business page. It's basically a page to help encourage moms to take care of themselves and their own wellness. I do not post business related info there, as it's more of a way to connect with other moms and encourage them.

I've been searching shops on Facebook and there are lots of them! I might try to establish an online shop on Facebook. Even in some other social networking sites, I would use to them for selling products. I don't have lots of friends on Facebook they can help me to find prospective buyers for my products.

Although, I am not a 'fan' [pardon the pun] of using Facebook for personal stuff, 99% of my business is from it. So, I guess I don't dislike it, too bad. :-)
