So Many Great Opportunities - How Do You Know Which One Is Best?

There are so many great opportunities out there, it is really hard to know which one to join. I mean in which one will I find the most success, make the most money and get the best support? I heard someone say that when you're researching, you should look at 3 major thing, the People, the Products, and the Pay Plan, but even when you look at all of that it's still hard to decide.

So my question is, how do you decide what is a great opportunity to join?

For me the most important thing is finding what you love! When starting my journey I chose something that I thought I could make money at but I didn't enjoy it! After "trying" a few more things I finally found my fit! I get so excited to wake up in the morning to work on my biz.

Yes you need to look for a solid company. Yes you need to make sure you are going to get great training! Yes you need to understand the compensation plan but most importantly you need to love what you do!!!!

Look at all the aspects of the biz....do you have to have parties? Do you like parties? Could you talk to people about what you do comfortably? This was a BIG one for me!! Take your time and really ask yourself could you see yourself doing this for the long haul....because most opportunities take time to grow and for you to be successful

Try to narrow down the product line and then try out the products and check what each company in that category offers. You should pick products that you love and would buy whether it was your business or not.

Everyone is different so what works for one might not work for another. I agree with Barb find a product that you love and would use even if you weren't doing the biz, you will have a hard time trying to promote something you don't have a passion for.

Check out many company's with those products and find others that are working their biz, ask questions and do plenty of research before joining. Good luck in your search

You are right, there are hundreds of great opportunities out there and it can seem overwhelming. Maybe the story of my journey will help you.

I started by looking at what I do and what interests me. I am very health conscious and know I needed to lose weight. There are dozens of companies that promote health and weight loss. I immediately eliminated the start-ups and less established companies. People who tell you that you only make money if you get in early are the ones who are trying to get you into their start-up. 99% of them fail and/or have all kinds of compliance and other issues. i wanted to make the company I chose the last place I had to choose.

How much money you make depends not on how "early" you get in but what you do with the opportunity and whether you are willing to work and stick with it. I am.

I decided to look at health, wellness and weight loss companies. I went on websites, talked to distributors, tried products and READ LABELS. I wanted to promote only the highest quality products with a company that has been around at least 5 or more years.

I looked at how easy it was to find information about the products and the company and I looked at growth potential.

Once I had a short list I started looking at compensation plans, training and support. I also chose my sponsor wisely. Regardless of the company you choose, if you do not have an active knowledgeable sponsor it is going to be harder for you.

When I finally made my choice, I immediately got support from my sponsor who drove from FL to NC to do a health fair with me and who has talked to potential customers and distributors on my behalf. She is positive, up-beat and has helped me learn a tremendous amount.

The company website is an incredible wealth of all the information I need and all the training I would even want. I can tell they value their distributors and reward us handsomely. Two of their newest programs were specifically implemented at distributor request to help with retention. They also have a distributor benefits package that I can utilize to help me save money elsewhere in my budget.

Yes there are so many out there...look at it as a business decision.

I happen to fall in love with the products, that is very important, however I also love many things that just would not sell and there is not a demand for.

You want to make sure that there is a current market demand for...what are people looking for?
In addition, take a look at the timings and trends out there. The populaton is shifting, so what is the growing segment of the population looking for?
Consumable items is the only way to go...you want something that someone will use up and need to reorder. You continue to make money for years from one initial transaction.
You want to be able to leverage your time and see income increase exponentially.

The product. I know there are a lot of great companies. Many of them have been around for years. Many of them have good leadership and compensation plans. But, for me, it definitely came down to the product.

I tried a lot of products in the health and wellness area before I found the ones I know are absolutely making me feel better and healthier.

I have done several things over my lifetime, most of which was as a single mother and needed to make extra income just to pay bills.
