Thumbs down Excessive pitching

Is it just me or do some of you feel you've had an "opportunity" pitched to you a million times in a week? I cannot even explain the amount of spam calls and emails that I receive in a 24 hour period.

Everything from here to my facebook, youtube, inbox, etc. I've never been so sick to death of being pitched to lol. It's so bad that you can hardly even buy a simple item from someone without them pushing the business opportunity on you several times. Geesh, I could never do that to my customers.

Anyone else blue in the face with being pitched to? I would love to take all of my contact information down and restrict my settings, but unfortunately, by doing that I also make it difficult for prospects to access me.

What are your thoughts and what do you do? Is it just me?

I know how you feel. I have learned to just say no thank you.

Default Look at the bright side.

Hi Dee,

You could look at it as a complement. I've noticed that go getters and people with established quality companies get pitched more.

It's one thing to pitch "lead generation" but I think to is bad form to try and openly "poach" people from a company.

Ya know Lillian, I was starting to wonder that. I'm often told by the "pitchers" (lol) that I seem confident, intelligent, etc. I just figured these are all ways to stroke your ego and make the sale.

I personally find it odd to be pitched something by someone I really don't have somewhat of a relationship with. The worst is when I literally have no idea who the person is and the first thing they do is pitch me. Huge red light goes of in my head and I put the stop sign up.

Thumbs down Automated MLM Spam Calls...

What has REALLY made my "blood" boil the past 6 months is how many "automated" network marketing SPAM calls I get on a daily basis! I have gone so far as to try and "black list" the #'s but our phone carrier said they can't because the #'s aren't associated with a particular person even though they come in looking like it! I just click "9" but they continue to call

The SPAM calls are the ones that annoy me the most. Many of the spam emails are so hypey and full of "alert words" that they land in my spam folder, which is fine. It sure downgrades our profession!

Omg ladies, same here! I seriously seem to receive at least a dozen a week and unfortunately, I cannot take down my contact information as I am in the business of building my own business ya know?!

I mean, really, what are these people thinking? These overly cheesy voicemails kill me and the fact that a total stranger thought it was OK to hi-jack my phone number and present something to me like that is a total turn off.

I strongly feel that they only thing they accomplish is aggravating people to a pulp and giving themselves a horrible reputation.

The ones that get me is when they say no selling involved. So I asked then how do people get paid? Then they say we don't sell, we just share information. So I said then you just give away your product or service. Then they say no, there's a fee involved. So I say then your selling something? Then they say no we just share whet we have to offer.. I know when I'm being sold some B/S.

In the big picture it's a numbers game. one may so no but then two out of 50 may say sign me up..
